Road trip from Virginia to Iowa City just to eat at Carlos Okellys since all Virginia locations had closed and was the family favorite !! From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by the nicest lady , we told her our story , I just cant tell you how incredible this lady was . Our family thanks her so much for fantastic hospitality, We're forever Carlos Okellys fans !! THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

Actually had a great experience. Ambiance is super. Wide open and lotsa fun Iowa-related stuff to look at. Waitress was terrific and prices are reasonable. Food quality great and place is clean.

Very average.

Food was OKAY. Service was OKAY. The restaurant itself was OKAY. It's hard to go into detail as I don't have any glaring complaints, just little annoyances, such as getting my food but no silverware, not enough noise dampening so I have to pause while speaking every time a chair moves. Food was good but it wasn't anything special, prices of the food were lower than I'm used to at this point, which I'm happy with, but...
