I ordered kinda late at night but their quality was top notch. The perfect ratios of dough to filling and the homemade habenro ranch was deceptively delightful as well. On the surface it looks just like the run of the mill ranch you’d get at the store but the balance of heat and herbs was done in such a way that it perfectly complimented other aspects of the their amazing calzone.

UPDATED: Spoke with the owner of the franchise and it sounds like the corporate world is trying to be like the govt and control everything, they have minimal drivers available the time of day I order, and really with the labor cost and 3rd party options who can blame them. I'll be ordering again as I have found a new favorite in the hawk zone (it's amazing) but I'll definitely be doing pickup from now on to help cut out the middle man who doesn't carr about the end consumer.
Set up delivery for my break time, only to get a call 25 minutes earlier telling me they had set my food down in the lobby, it's 50° outside. Needless to say by the time I got to break 25 minutes later the food was cold. Terrible service, used to love this place and order once or twice a week, as of late though it has gone downhill.

It was my first time in Iowa City and my family simply had to try D.P. Dough’s calzones and chicken dunkers before we left the next day. I checked our order before we went back to our hotel, only to find our chicken was tossed in buffalo sauce instead of left plain. The two staff members were generous enough to not only correct their mistake, but they even gave us an additional half-pound of plain chicken and two extra dipping sauces for free. When we finally dug into our calzones, they were bellissimo! If I ever find myself in Iowa City again, I will most certainly return to D.P. Dough!

This is a good spot for a late night meal. I arrived into town a little late and everyone closed down earlier than their profiles said, except for this place. They were super friendly and ready to serve some food.

It was nice to have a place to get something to eat that was open late. On top of that, the food was delicious! I even got something for my wife that reheated nicely.

Looking for good, greesy, cheesy American style calzones with fun Iowa City style ingredients they got you. LATE night availability. It is generally stuffed with college students and the workers that cannot go out on the weekends because they are busy cooking into the night still manage to have their own little party in there while busting out some of my favorite calzones. Great place
Parking: Street parking
Wheelchair accessibility: Hard to get to if in wheelchair van. Otherwise getting into the building is fine. No handicapped auto doors

Literally amazing food and even better people. Their fresh baked cookies stay warm and soft hours after delivery. How do they do it? The world may never know.
Quaint little place with nice food. The community chalkboard is a fun touch.
Got take out. Easy, friendly service, good

Really rude cashier, judges people’s orders. Ordered the garlic parm stix and he said “why? No mozzarella?” Also ordered the bbq chicken zone without bacon and he said “no substitutions. Are you muslim? You’re definitely catholic. ” uh what? Then stood waiting for my pizza and he asked me to move to sweep even though they don’t close for over an hour…. I’ve worked in food service for years. If you wanna close early advertise it… also if you wanna fight just say that. Also asked us to move to mop an hour before close. Interesting. All the other workers seemed nice-fire that one. Don’t wanna order from an incel again preferably <3

Ordered $25 worth of food, as I do nearly every week, paid online. Tipped. Then sat down and immediately leak out fell asleep for a few hours. Didn't remember until the next day that I'd ordered. I guess I was naive to think they'd be decent and remake my order, or give me a discount, or something. At Domino's, we would have cancelled the order and refunded the money as a matter of policy.....

Waited almost an hour for my calzone and was the last person in the building despite being one of the first to order. Girl at the front during the night shift was incredibly rude and never apologized for the wait and sat on her phone while the buss boy did her job and helped customers. Terrible serviced, loved this place, never going back.
