Really rude cashier, judges people’s orders. Ordered the garlic parm stix and he said “why? No mozzarella?” Also ordered the bbq chicken zone without bacon and he said “no substitutions. Are you muslim? You’re definitely catholic. ” uh what? Then stood waiting for my pizza and he asked me to move to sweep even though they don’t close for over an hour…. I’ve worked in food service for years. If you wanna close early advertise it… also if you wanna fight just say that. Also asked us to move to mop an hour before close. Interesting. All the other workers seemed nice-fire that one. Don’t wanna order from an incel again preferably <3

Ordered $25 worth of food, as I do nearly every week, paid online. Tipped. Then sat down and immediately leak out fell asleep for a few hours. Didn't remember until the next day that I'd ordered. I guess I was naive to think they'd be decent and remake my order, or give me a discount, or something. At Domino's, we would have cancelled the order and refunded the money as a matter of policy.....

Waited almost an hour for my calzone and was the last person in the building despite being one of the first to order. Girl at the front during the night shift was incredibly rude and never apologized for the wait and sat on her phone while the buss boy did her job and helped customers. Terrible serviced, loved this place, never going back.

DP Dough is a chain. But this downtown staple is the only one in Iowa, and it has got it goin on. The menu features calzones, stix, tots and wings. No frills, something for everyone and reasonably priced. (There are a TON of calzone options but you can make your own, as well.) I needed breadsticks on a random Tuesday. I popped online and ordered for pickup. (Though it is available for delivery via CHOMP, too.) I saw the bacon cheesy tots and decided to give those a try too. The order was ready in about a half hour, piping hot. There are a few metered spots outside but also a unloading zone not too far down that you could park quick and run in from. No complaints! DP Dough is worth an order if you're craving some calzones! (Check out their website for special deals or promos.)

Great place for awesome calzones! I wish they had a veggie calzone instead of choosing each vegetable as a topping, it turns out pretty expensive for a vegetarian calzone, otherwise awesome calzones

Ordered from DP Dough for the first time. My sister and I both agree that they are the best calzones we have ever had. Great delivery service as well!

DP Dough is a college town staple. My spouse and I picked up food from the IC location for the first time in July. A perfect time to try the place, as campus is nice and quiet. I ordered online via their website (easy peasy). 20 or so minutes later we arrived at the restaurant as staff was finishing the order. I love calzones and didn't know what to expect. I'm happy to report that my calzone, 'The Safety Zone,' was very, very good. I think my standards were lower because DPD is a franchise. My S.O. ordered a 'zone that included bbq pork and mac 'n cheese and stated that it was delicious, too. (This item may be unique to Iowa City, as I don't see it on the regular DP menu.) This is a nice place to patronize maybe once a year. We spent around $25 + tip, so the equivalent of spending what we would have at Jimmy John's. I feel a little better about spending $25 on large calzones than I do sandwiches. I'd come back to try something else, including the Tots and Stix. Lots of vegetarian options. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. There are table for dining in, but we took our food to-go. Street parking available or park at the Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp and walk down the street.
