I’m pretty disappointed that they are consistently sold out by 8am on a Saturday. A few ofd donuts that don’t seem to sell are left and all of the popular ones are sold out. Please consider adjusting stock - increase quantities of popular ones and decrease the random ones that don’t sell out. We would like to be able to buy a decent box of donuts until much closer to closing time.

Been frequenting Donutlant since I was a small child. This is the place that I judge all other donut shop against. (They really are that good!) Unfortunately, we were informed at our last visit that they will no longer be offing the best donut in the world (white cake, chocolate frosting, almond slivers coating) because of the expense to make. This saddens us deeply and is the reason the best donut shop in Iowa has dropped to a 4 star overall rating. So sad.

The best hometown donut shop! Only cake donuts I have ever enjoyed! Love the cherry and blueberry cake donuts. Love chocolate frosted yeast donut as well. Cheap and tasty! Used to stop here everytime i was in Cedar Rapids. Great local spot and so thankful they have a spot in Iowa City!

Solid cake donuts. Fast service and they're not afraid to just give you an assortment of 12 without a whole lot of input, which is a bonus for early morning brain fog.
Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't see a door opener switch, but there's no stairs and just a small-ish lobby which should not be prohibitive to order from. Enough room for a wheel chair and companion but not much else. There is a drive through - if it's still operational, I would recommend going through that over trying to get a donut box handed over your head

I’ve been here quite a few times, selection can vary depending on the time you go but the quality is always great so I don’t care. The cherry, orange, and vanilla coconut are my absolute favorite. The texture is soft and fluffy workers are always super nice
