First two times there and disappointing experiences both times…
1st time: Sandwich had one small piece of meat on it and wasn’t worth it at all. It was just all bread.
2nd time:National Sandwich Day. Figured I’d order a different sandwich with more meat and hope for the best. Walked in 20-25 min before closing time and was told they were actually closed - that they closed early today. No explanation, door was unlocked, etc. Pretty disappointing.
Don’t think it’s worth trying a 3rd time.

The service was slow / under staffed / wait time too long - too much - I am sorry for your wait. Customers were walking out - the owner needs to get this service issue figured out

Timing terrible. Ordered ahead on app. Ordered at 11:28 for pickup at 11:45. Took until 11:52 before it was ready. 25 min’s! Imagine sitting in drive-thru for that amount of time. I’ve received slow service from this location before. I guess I’ll lower my expectations and just know that it will take longer to pick up a sandwich here than it does to order Longhorn steak to go. So, nothing wrong with the food just know you’ll have to, unfortunately, wait a long time to get it and plan accordingly.

We ordered 2 subs and the meal deal, the subs were great and the man behind the counter was great too! ( I believe he was the manager) will definitely needs going back again !

If I could give negative stars, I would. On my work break I ordered a sandwich and they messed it up. I drove all the way back there just for them to remake it and mess it up again. Save yourself the time and money and don’t eat here.

When I order Mac and cheese in a bowl I have the expectation that the bowl would be full and not just a quarter of the way full. They attempted to make it look like there was more than there was. It's ridiculous for the price I paid.
Very nice location. Very clean and well keep. Sandwiches were made perfectly. Some many sandwiches to chose from. Best sandwiches in town.

I used to try and eat here once or twice a month but the last several times the quality has gone down more every time. When I first started going here the quality was great every thing was evenly spread across the sub. Now the portions are less and clumped towards the center and I’m paying more. No longer this was the last time I’ll be eating at the Iowa city location. Very sad guys to start off so strong and become so weak. I started eating at Firehouse subs in Fletcher NC. and they never disappoint.

Wow!!! Great food, amazing service, and very nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend!Our first ever visit to Firehouse Subs was FANTASTIC! We let others behind us order as I explained it was our first experience there. A guy came out from behind the counter and explained the ins and outs, gave sandwich recommendations, etc. LOVED THIS!! Not sure if he was the owner or manager, but impressive customer service skills ?I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Meatball and it was the BEST sandwich I've ever had!! I used to be a Subway kinda girl, but forget them and go to Firehouse Subs. You won't regret it because the food is FIRE! My fiancé ordered the Spicy Cajun Chicken Sandwich and he truly enjoyed his as well. (I didn't get a picture of his). The 12" can be made into two meals and leave you full with the first half for the same price as Subway, but I'm always still hungry after my first half there.They also have these plastic children's fire helmets. I nicely asked if I could have a couple for the kiddos and they were happy to let me grab them. How exciting for the kids. ?
