This is a great chill coffee shop that I've been coming to for years to work away from the office. The baristas are friendly, calm, and care about delicious beverages.
This is probably not a place to get a coffee when you are rushing to get somewhere else. Come here to relax with a pourover or one of their specialty drinks and a slice of orange cake; maybe get some work done or catch up with friends. The interior is beautiful, with plenty of light, and directly adjacent to Film Scene and Spare Me bowling/arcade.
I'm moving away from Iowa City, and this will be one of the main places I'll miss!

Tried an Americano with 4 oz water last weekend July 2024. Can't remember which coffee was used but it was the best espresso I've tasted. I had a lingering (and very pleasant) dark chocolate taste for like 20 minutes after I left. Barista was friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back.

I love coffee, but not a connoisseur. I usually get Starbucks as a treat when I'm traveling. I grabbed an oat milk latte here when staying at the hotel and wow!! The coffee is incredible! My cup made Starbucks taste like water. And honestly the price was less than anything I've ordered at Starbucks. I'm craving my next cup!

Came here last and this weekend for a latte, and loved it both times. The service staff are really great people, and both times the environment is just a nice place to sit down and study, read, etc. Would highly recommend.
Kid-friendliness: There's a small table with kids books and toys I've seen a few parents use with their kids. Very nice and well lit area.
