It's a small ice cream shop with the stereotypical staff (Teenagers, students) manning the counter. They have a nice assortment of flavors and the ice cream is superb. As a matter of fact, a very good friend of mine drives an hour to pick up a pint of their favorite, blueberry cheesecake every two weeks. What more needs to be said? If you're in Iowa City, Heyn's ice cream shop is worth a visit in the summer or year round if you love ice cream like I do!

Have always had great experience with Heyn’s until last night. I recommend the peach and butter brickle flavour. We drove all the way from Coralville to get Ice Cream at night as they say it’s open till 10pm on the Google Maps. However, when we arrive there at 9:04 it’s already closed, and the workers does not seem to care that we were trying to get it or explain to us that they were close.
