Hilltop is a local dive and neighborhood bar with a great menu. 3 pool tables in the back, several TV's with Iowa games featured. Great selection of canned and bottled beverages. They recently expanded their NA selection. This is a great spot for conversationalists, lunch specials, and the rural, urban crowd this spot draws in. Open Tuesday through Saturday

Hilltop is a local neighborhood iconic place to have a meal, drink, and maybe play some pool.
Dinner options are common ones. We had a chicken wings appetizer; my wife had garlic bread soup and fish-and-chips, and I had a dinner salad and a fried pork loin sandwich.
The wings, salad, and pork loin were all good. My wife liked the soup and fish, and she didn't care for the fries.
The service is handled by the bar team, which can easily survey the dining area.
The place is clean, and during the several times we were there, the patrons have never been partticularly rowdy. The sense of being old is authentic. There are a few old signs that are there because the place has been around a long time.

Experience, great, friendly good place to eat and drink and just sit around and talk and take your time. You would like chocolate chip cookies. It’s a good place to get chocolate chip cookies where it’s made fresh every day.

Hillop is a nice atmosphere- the bar and the pool table areas are split up ( in separate rooms). The food is excellent, prices are good, wait staff are professional and attentive. A fun cozy neighborhood tavern.
