Classic dive bar. If it's not made in the fryer or griddle they don't have it. But it's a good stop for bar food if you don't want the bougie food closer to campus. Server was a bit confused but in the best possible way. Too many jobs to remember which bar she was working that day. Teased her a bit and she responded in kind. Love these types of places.

Sat down, bartender ignored me and then went to wait on two people who came in after me. Must be nice to have so much business you can ignore customers. Went to a Mexican restaurant and got great service. Unless you are a regular don't water your time.

Good hometown vibes at this 90 year old bar at the top of a hill. Big Grove on draft and a sizeable food menu. Dad had the fried gizzards and I had a patty melt with onion rings. Great older bartender ladies that are sweet as can be. I’d come back for the pool tables and nuthin fancy attitude.

The atmosphere isn't for everyone, but is a great, historical location. Drinks are great and food is delicious.
Good watering hole in Iowa City. Food is pretty good and affordable. Low staffing made service a bit slower but waitstaff worked hard.
