Iowa is the last place I’d expect to find good Indian food tbh. Place was recommended by The Iowa Gallivant, and did not disappoint.
Got the lamb vindaloo and garlic naan and was very satisfied. Some of the best vindaloo and naan I’ve ever had, hands down.

Food is always amazing. I’ll drive from a town over to pick it up because I can’t have true Indian food anywhere else. The staff is always friendly, and the restaurant always smells so good the moment you walk in there. Juicy, tender meat every time.
I called before coming to check price and when checking out was told a different price. when I asked why he said that has always been that price. When I left I called to ask the price again to double check I was told the same price as when I first called. so we were clearly over charged on purpose. really sad, I will not be returning. Also he didn’t believe my daughter’s age and charged her as an adult just because she is tall doesn’t mean she is not a child.

The owner is very friendly and food is very tasty. I come here everyday. The fresh tandoori roti and delicious garlic naan is a must. All the vegetarian dishes are excellent. The buffet is also very balanced. You should definitely come here if you're in Iowa city. The chai feels great on a cold day
