I ordered grilled cheese for lunch today. I thought it is vegetarian and realized it contained bacon while eating it. Even though it was completely my fault, they were very understanding and offered me a new sandwich for free. It was super delicious. Thank you again

Very poor experience. Waited a long time to get my food despite many people working and being the only person ordering. Got my food, but was missing half of what was ordered.

This was the first cafe I’ve tried in Iowa city bc I’m here for the summer and oh my god it is SO GOOD. 100% recommend. I’ve been eating packed lunch sandwiches that the dorm RA’s have been handing out and they were just not it. Bread was too thick, too much ham and not enough provolone or lettuce, etc. I’ve been feeling sick this past week because of those sandwiches so I decided to switch it up and try a nearby cafe instead. And wow. Service was great, the employees are kind, their latte was spectacular I felt like I was ascending into the sky. Sandwich was delicious, perfect proportions between the ingredients I would gladly return back the next chance I get. My lunch time today has immensely enhanced my day and productivity ???❤️?I love you java house coffee roasters

i used to work at the downtown location so i know all the recipes. they consistently make me a white mocha instead of a caramel white mocha, charging me more for something they’re not giving me. when i asked them if they made me the wrong drink they just told me it was right when i knew it wasn’t. :/

Oh my goodness! Awesome food with a wide variety to pick from. They also have iced coffee there! I was amazed!

I spent a few hours here while my kid was undergoing a study. Food is awesome, a little pricey but not out of line with similar coffee places. I recommend it.

Ordered a salad last week through Chomp and they left out half of the ingredients I wanted in it and didn't give me any dressing. The lettuce looked wilted, too. Ordered through Door dash a breakfast sandwich today and it's old and greasy like it sat for awhile. It also was on an English muffin instead of a biscuit like I asked for. The Belgian waffle latte flavor tastes like chemicals. My co worker ordered an asiago bagel and they sent a plain one.

I ordered the Mediterranean Salad, and I do not recommend it! The ingredients listed sound delicious. However, what I got was 98% lettuce and barely any olives, feta, quinoa, heart of palm... etc. I got 1 pickled pepper in my large bowl. So basically, I paid for a big bowl of lettuce, drenched in dressing, defeating any attempt of consuming a nutritious/healthy meal. The proportions should be addressed here. I discarded it after a few bites. After being thoroughly disappointed in my salad, I decided to try soup. What they have listed on their website is not what was available in person. Not to mention that when I finally sat down a second time to eat my soup, they did not provide me with a spoon. By that time, it was time to go back to work.... I will say their menu options did look promising and diverse, and I will probably give them one more try. Definitely would not do a salad again, but maybe one of the sandwiches.
