Orchard green restaurant and lounge

Great atmosphere, love led the food and drinks. Sat in the lover level and it was cozy.

This has been our go-to restaurant for years. Over the past year, both the the quality of food and the attention by the manager have considerably gone downhill. I hope they don't continue down this path. Others have had similar experiences.

The service was excellent and I loved how intimate the feel of the restaurant was during dinner. I had the Duck with cranberry sauce and apple bread. It was Devine. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for the food was due to the lobster bisque soup. It was subpar at best and for a fine dining establishment I expected better flavor from this
dish. Also the parking was awful due to the street being under construction. I was advised they do have valet but only once I arrived for my dinner reservation did I find this out which would have saved me considerable stress prior to dinner.

For nice evening out in a comfortable classy restaurant this is the place. Food is always over the top!! Great service and great people! Must try their jalapeño margaritas, killer!!

Excellent service and very tasty entrees. Beautiful large dining area with gorgeous windows and wood trims... Valet service was perfect!

Vegetarian options: Beet salad was absolutely delicious!

Parking: Excellent free valet service that is very quick and professional...

My wife and I had a very enjoyable evening and meal at Orchard Green. We had Arctic Char and Saltimbocca for our entrees. Both were outstanding. Such a welcome pleasure to see white tablecloths in Iowa City. A special mention needs to be made of our server - Timo - a real professional.

First time there tonight. Although we had reservations upstairs in the main dining room we opted to eat in the more casual lounge area. Service was a little slow, but I can’t really fault the server because I think she was the one in charge of the lounge area. Had we stuck with our upstairs reservation it may have been better. The main thing I wanted to mention is that the food was worth the wait. I had the swordfish and it was outstanding! Smoky and super flavorful, I wanted to lick the plate when finished. Honestly one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. My wife had the grilled shrimp, my son had the filet mignon and everyone loved their food. If you like craft cocktails they have a great selection of those too.

I must say, the price of the steak was quite high, but the experience was so remarkable that I eagerly anticipate repeating it. The exceptional service and ambiance were certainly worth the cost, but it was the extraordinary quality of the food that truly surpassed all expectations and brought me immense delight. ???
