First time trying Orchard Green and the food was delicious! They have a nice ambience upstairs as others have mentioned. We were a party of 4 and ordered the focaccia, walleye fish, halibut, roasted bison and the filet. I was debating between the scallops and bison and decided on the bison which was so good! It was a lot of food and I was so stuffed. The server we had was good. He was an older gentleman and he was attentive. It can get busy here but you can also make a reservation online. There is free valet parking where you drive to the back entrance and park right in front of the door and someone will come out. Apparently, they park your car where they can find a spot as well. We ended up doing street parking so you have to pay for meter unless you find free parking a few blocks away. Free parking in downtown Iowa City is harder to come by these days for those folks who are used to free parking in the outskirts of Iowa City.

This is slowly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Service is always excellent and the staff is friendly. Food is superb and the menue is intriguing with wholesome and delicious food made of high quality ingredients. I took my daughter for her 12th birthday and she enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and appreciated the service. So, if my 12 year old kid likes, I’m all for it.

Celebrated anniversary with fine dining experience at Orchard Green Restaurant in Iowa City.Everything exceeded expectations. This may be one of the top two or three restaurants in Eastern Iowa and among the best in the state.I enjoyed the braised lamb shank special. The beef tenderloin looked great too. The sides were delicious. And the pecan pie was like nothing I've ever had before.I look forward to going again and won't wait for a special occasion.Parking: Free valet - much better than dealing with parking yourself, especially for a special meal.

Amazing experience for my birthday! Food and service were amazing plus they have one of the best wine menus in the area with great recommendations for pairings. We mostly go here for their steak, very classy environment if you're looking for a place for a birthday/anniversary/formal event. The ambiance is calm, you can easily conversate with your group without being overpowered by the noise around. No matter what I eat, I always order the lemon drop martini and creme brulée for dessert, they are a must.
