Best sushi in Iowa City. Very fresh and the place always looks clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and you get a free roll when your order reaches certain dollar amounts. Highly recommend

The food here was super good. Service was a bit slow but definitely worth the wait because, did I mention, the food was really good. Also had a lot of very pretty art on walls

In my neighborhood, but I keep forgetting! I've had several items off the menu, all were superb and delicious, and elegantly presented, even for takeout. All that beauty carries a price I'm less excited about, which is possibly why they aren't my neighborhood go-to.

This place is pretty good. Not quite on same tier as Wasabi in Des Moines though.
Yum yum is too spicy. Food was good. Service was good.
This place is calm, quiet, scrupulously clean, and not at all overpriced. Servers are friendly and attentive.
I like simple rolls because I'm here for the fish and I'm too cheap to order single-piece sushi, so I'm a bit picky about the quality of a sushi restaurant's more basic ingredients. This is a good place. I came during off hours (3-4pm) and their rice is solidly fresh (not stale/overcooked) even though they aren't super busy. Their fish is good quality and flavorful. Definitely come here.
Hands down👍
All things considered, good place, the wait took a little while but the food is good and the staff is nice and welcoming
Generous salmon portions. Love it!
Came in on Valentines Day with a 6 o’clock reservation for two. After waiting 20 minutes we finally got sat down. The service was nonexistent. 25 minutes after we sat down we got our order taken. 2 hour later we had empty water and no food. I really like the food but they were extremely understaffed and couldn’t keep up with demand.
This is my favorite Japanese spot in Iowa

Excellent all the time!
This was some of the best sushi we've had, including our 20 years in New York City. Appetizers and fried rice were also excellent. Great service and nice atmosphere. We'll definitely come back next time we're in town.
Lots of nice choices and my favorite is the sushi and dumplings. The location is not great from where I live but I end up coming here at least once every two weeks. Solid option in town,
I haven't had really great sushi in a long time. This was the best sushi i've had in years. This place is a gem. The real deal authentic. Great presentation, great sushi. 5 Stars!
