We were passing through town and found this wonderful spot just 20 minutes before it closed. We each got a burger and fries and they were absolutely delicious. Even better than the food was the extraordinary staff. Each one was exceptionally kind and accommodating. If we lived closer we'd be regulars. Thank you for the great food and fun lunch.

very poor sevice. 4 staff members on . never gave refills burnt food. had to ask for a box and bill after sitting forever waiting. NO excuse ver unsatisfied. learn how to treat customers n.l bluebird has already been great with staff complete night and day.

I ordered Eggs Hemingway for breakfast this morning and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, and to die for smoked salmon. Staff was super friendly, too!

How are you gonna have cheeseburgers that good and not have them every day? On the other hand, EXTREMELY rude service during the multiple times I've been there. Please have a better attitude! The cheeseburgers are good though.

First time for breakfast at the Bluebird diner and we’ll definitely be back! What a hidden Iowa City gem! Old school diner feel with elevated diner food. We sat at the counter because it was very busy and that was just as fun!

And despite the fact that we were Wolverines in the middle of Hawkeye country, service was great. We make an annual drive through eastern Iowa en route to KC, and this will become a routine stop.
