Enjoyed a delicious meal here on a Friday of an Iowa home football game weekend. We ate outside and while it was chilly — would have loved some propane heaters — it was still great.
It was a very laid back atmosphere, everyone showing up is either getting off work or class, but you didn't feel rushed even though you can tell there was a rush coming in. The food was amazing we ordered the bone marrow which was spectacular probably one our favorite dishes that we ordered we also had the mushroom risotto it was cooked perfectly har plenty of flavor I add some fried chicken and that had a nice crunch, but what I would definitely come back for without skipping...
Cool little downtown spot that feels retro without trying too hard. The burger came out perfect — juicy, buttery bun, melty cheese, zero regrets. The cocktails hit too; they actually care about balance, not just booze. Music’s low, lighting’s warm, and people seem to linger. It’s got that easy Midwest comfort vibe, but polished.
