Ordered takeaway last night so we could eat outside with friends. The service was friendly and very fast for takeout. I ordered the avocado cucumber sushi combo-the sushi was arranged very prettily even in the takeout container, and it also came with very tasty miso soup. Also ordered the gyoza- savory flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The green tea with roasted rice was delicious - brewed at the right temperature, so it wasn't bitter at all. Next time, we'll dine in!

Stopped here for lunch while on a business trip. The parking situation is odd, but we just went into the parking garage.
Crab Rangoon was good but needed some more filling. I got two rolls and they were both good, I don’t remember the names. Service was quick!

First time to this restaurant and to Iowa City for that matter! My daughter ordered an 8 piece Crazy Horse and Jasmine Green Tea to go. A set of chopsticks were given. She really enjoyed it. Very authentic and fresh! Full menu of authentic Japanese cuisine. Order was taken and prepared efficiently. Very happy with the service. Fun little stop along our route!
Parking: There is a city parking garage directly across the street from the café on S. Dubuque Street. You need to pull a ticket when entering the garage. The first hour is free! After that, payment is required. See photo of parking garage in this review.

Best food ever! I strongly recommend this restaurant if you’re craving Japanese food and want something simple and inexpensive. The waiters were very nice and the saki bar is great. I’m happy to have a restaurant representing me.

This is my favorite place to get poke bowls. The ingredients are always delicious and reasonably proportioned. To top it all off, the presentation is always excellent, they even include a pretty flower atop the dish! Everyone in Iowa City should try this restaurant at least once.

Udon with vegetables and shrimp tempura was fantastic!
Took myself to Soseki on a date and I was throughly pleased! I got Crab Rangoons and the Spicy Tuna Roll as an appetizer and they were both delicious! For my entrée I got the Mongolian Shrimp and added Beef. It was absolutely amazing. The flavor was on point and thanks to my waiter Seb I got more bang for my buck! Definitely recommending and definitely will be returning! Total experience was a 10/10!

Best quality of sushi around puts anybody else to shame. Even their simple rolls have such good balanced flavors. Never disappointed when we come here, and the owner cares so much about the place you can just tell.
