Great seats inside or out! Love a bar with options for live music, patio lights lots of drinks options. Small town bar feel but with big city fun!

What a way to spend a Saturday night! Great music, immediate service, accommodating staff, willing to make suggestions for drink choices. The patio light brought the ambience. Five star will come again.

Why read about the Hawkeyes when you can watch them here?!

Was referred to SpoCo by some locals and Iowa alums and it didn’t disappoint. Bartenders were excellent and conversational on an early Friday evening. It was a great space to get some drinks before a dinner reservation.

I went and showed my ID and I know that I am not 21 years old, I did not go with the intention of consuming alcohol and the boy who was at the entrance threw my ID along with my wallet and that is a lack of respect since I did not go to consume alcohol alone I went to dance and it's disgusting that they have a guy like that at the entrance. I felt like I was excluded just for being Latino, but you're missing out. If I give you one piece of advice, it's not to have people this rude in your establishments. Keep in mind that it's my first time in Downtown in Iowa City I was just looking to dance and I got a bad taste in my mouth from this person clarifying that I am a citizen and it is very unfair that he has treated me like this without knowing who I am

A sports column bouncer tonight (5-13) grabbed me in my lower private area and my top private area in order to let me in with no cover. I was fully willing to pay cover but was involuntarily touched very inappropriately in order to get in “for free”. I did not ask for this or hint at this. This bar needs to be shut down if they continue to hire creeps.

The door staff is terrible. They need to get trained and learn how to do their job better. The other night I was planing to go In to have a good night with some friends and I literally got denied with my real ID. I am very upset because most people that go there are Freshmen with actual fakes and they never get denied. I was also not mad because I did not get in, I was upset because the door staff don’t know what a real ID looks like. I’m basically 24 years old and the bouncer “JT Cooley” refused to let me in even after showing him a second proof of identification. He was rude and unprofessional. I wish the manager was there so they could see how terrible their staff is. I want to give zero starts but that was not an option. Never going back there, specially if people like him work there. Terrible experience, I would not recommend this bar to anyone.

Used to be a great place to meet friends for a drink and enjoy a Hawkeye football game. These days I'll randomly stop in for a drink. Great place to socialize.
