Alyssa was our waitress and she was so sweet and so attentive!
The food was amazing! I tried RAW oysters for the first and I was so annoyed that I hadn’t tried them sooner 😅
Thank you , Alyssa for your time!
Great little place.
Their salmon chowder is some of the best soup I’ve ever had!
20250529: We love St. Burch's cheese curds.
This place does a great job with Manhattans and Old Fashions, though this time I had an NA beer.
The staff was so friendly it made me hungrier

Awesome place for trivia even though I never win. Still fun! Great food and really good specialty cocktails. Bit expensive, so can't craall out, but great one in a while.
Vegetarian options: Mostly salads where you can ask for no meats, with maybe some other options. No idea about vegan options.
Parking: Parking garage a block down.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to the den.
Recommended dishes: Lobster Mac, Shrimp Cocktail, The Burch Burger

My lobster Mac was good. My husband ordered a New York strip steak, and I don’t know what he had delivered to the table but it was not a NYStrip steak. (Speaking as a couple who grills them from a local butcher shop a couple times a month). The texture and flavor of his meat was very bland. Sorry I didn’t think to take a photo. Service from our second waiter was awesome. The first waiter was a bit unfamiliar with the wine list, and they tag teamed for our table.

If you’re looking for some fresh, delicious oysters in Iowa, you’ve got to check out St. Burch’s Tavern. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and quickly seated. There were a lot of great options for dinner, but I decided to go with the oysters since it was a happy hour special. I tried three different oysters - the Rappahannock from Virginia, the Big Rock from Massachusetts, and the Fanny Bay from British Columbia. Each one was unique and had its own special flavor. The Rappahannock was the best of the three, hands down! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for more.
