Subway in Iowa City

“My tummy went grumbly grumbly and I wanted a sandwich.As I was about to pull into the subway driveway, a giant beam of light burst threw my car roof. And there was Shane with my Blt on Flatbread. No need to get out of my car. Shane is the Jesus of subway and deserves a raise. My tummy was full and my prayers were answered. I will forever worship Shane from subway.“

“I was quite surprised to see that they now prepare the "meat" part of your sub out of view of the customer. That being said, the two guys working were doing a great job trying to keep up. There were easily a dozen people in there,which is busier than I've seen it since before the pandemic. The veggies looked nice and fresh, and I think the amount of meat on my(formerly spicy italian) footlong approached the double meat we ordered. But what surprised me most of all was the $6 footlong we used to buy 2 for about $12 plus tax now, (including 15% tip) came to $28.99! And as an FYI we, we got coupons from Subway in the mail, which is why we went in, and were told, "corporate sends those out, and we don't accept them". Is that legal.. or ethical? Maybe the sign on the store should be changed to...?

Parking: It sits on Avery busy corner where it's somewhat difficult to get in and out,as the lot is very small and a car cannot get in if another is leaving.“
