Visiting family in Iowa City and we discovered this charming little Thai place. I was very pleased with the menu, many options and the Pra Ram was amazing, I highly recommend this dish if you love seafood.

Even despite us only ordering one dish (group of four), Kaleb was able to be understanding of our order and had exceptional customer service as well!! Would definitely come back if in the area!!

I feel like anyone who likes thai food and hasn't been to Thai Spice is really missing out. Their staff is super friendly and welcoming, prompt and attentative, and the food comes out quick and it's always delicious. We stopped in and got a papaya salad and pad thai to go and it was just as good in styrofoam as it is on a plate.

Really great place to eat 😃

For Iowa City the food is 5 stars, but the pad thai could have a bit more flavor. Now, their massaman curry is by far the best here out of all thai options in town, 6/5 stars. The server April is amazing- very attentive, gets your order right, and is friendly/fast. Thank you 🙏 this is my favorite spot.

I traveled through this town craving spicy food and found a restaurant that looked promising. I had no expectations, but the food was amazing! As a Thai person, I was impressed, and my picky husband loved the chicken satay I got for our toddler. Truly amazing food!

Authentic Thai food, not watered down or at least you can get dishes not Amercanized

Best Thai food in town. Juicy chicken satay, rich flavorful pad Thai, curry with just the right amount of spice.

No website. Just a Facebook page. Super inconvenient if you don't have Facebook. No delivery either. Can't find that out without Facebook.

There was what appeared to be a rose stem and thorn in the soup: it was hard and dangerous (see picture). When I showed it to the waiter, he took it and left without apologizing. Then several things went wrong with the order. We asked for a hot tea but what they served us was just lukewarm, and we asked for it to be warmed up. Again, no apologies. Then the salad (pictured) was very hot spicy whereas I had asked for level 1. The waiter denied it was too spicy. Finally, the Tom Yum soup wasn’t the kind I had ordered. The place was almost empty which contrasted with the way it was 10 years ago, but we now understand why. Poor service, careless kitchen, customer comes last. We ended up paying over $40 for something we didn’t eat much of.

We love eating here when we're in town! It's spring break and we were the only table on a Saturday noon - the only time they haven't been bustling! The service staff were pleasant and attentive. I don't remember the name of the dish but it was number 10 and had crispy tofu with veggies in a spicy brown sauce with rice - my current favorite! We also had a hot and spicy number 12 which was delicious. The restaurant appears to be clean and well cared for.
