Java House Coffee Roasters - Downtown

They made our whole order wrong - sandwich, salad, and coffee. There was only 2 other people ahead of us and it took almost 20 minutes for our orders. I would have asked for a refund, but didn't realize it was all wrong until we got to our destination. Had to throw the salad away. I heard from my daughter that they are notorious for bad service. They made 2 coffee drinks before mine wrong too so I should have checked.

Very nice place to visit, study or just rabbit coffee. Grabbing coffee is what we have done each time we are near these Java roasters. This is by far some of the best coffee around! Great service always as well! It does take a bit for a coffee order, just be patient. These people know what they are doing and the coffee is worth the wait!

Oct 2023: The wifi is terrible. It’s sometimes impossible to connect, and even if you do, it’s slow and sometimes nonfunctional. This is especially true when it’s midterm season and there are lots of students studying, which is somewhat often during the school year.

A perfect example of a coffee shop geared towards the needs of student / young professional environment, where you need comfortable seating, outlets, reliable WiFi, and a steadily available but affordable stream of caffeine directly to your veins. Plus sick designs on the coffee cups, nice.

My friend got a mocha, I was jealous, but I had homework to do so I got the black, and it was delightful still. For what it's worth, he said he really liked his too.

Only complaint would be it's kind of a weird order placement / collection situation though, not very intuitive if you're settled in somewhere and waiting. Sure it's not an issue if you're a regular though, so doesn't count against the final rating.

Came to eat at Heirloom at 11:30 9/22/24. Employees accused me of paying with counterfeit money but did not take action to determine its validity (I’m assuming they didn’t have change to break $100; still odd to accuse me). After paying, I was repeatedly ignored by employees to the point where I needed a friend to ask where my sandwich was because they didn’t want to speak to me or make my sandwich. I’ve worked food service in the past and can understand and empathize the difficulties, but I was astonished to hear the entire staff speak disrespectfully of me (just for paying with cash) and take out their frustrations on a customer. Will not be recommending or returning
