This was my go to place when i visited iowa. U want any kind of coffee or tea with a kick go for it im serious! Nice servers and quick service.

A perfect example of a coffee shop geared towards the needs of student / young professional environment, where you need comfortable seating, outlets, reliable WiFi, and a steadily available but affordable stream of caffeine directly to your veins. Plus sick designs on the coffee cups, nice.
My friend got a mocha, I was jealous, but I had homework to do so I got the black, and it was delightful still. For what it's worth, he said he really liked his too.
Only complaint would be it's kind of a weird order placement / collection situation though, not very intuitive if you're settled in somewhere and waiting. Sure it's not an issue if you're a regular though, so doesn't count against the final rating.

Came to eat at Heirloom at 11:30 9/22/24. Employees accused me of paying with counterfeit money but did not take action to determine its validity (I’m assuming they didn’t have change to break $100; still odd to accuse me). After paying, I was repeatedly ignored by employees to the point where I needed a friend to ask where my sandwich was because they didn’t want to speak to me or make my sandwich. I’ve worked food service in the past and can understand and empathize the difficulties, but I was astonished to hear the entire staff speak disrespectfully of me (just for paying with cash) and take out their frustrations on a customer. Will not be recommending or returning

This is my favorite place to get coffee when im in Iowa City and my husband who prefers hot coffee also loves their iced coffee. Its the right flavor and not too sweet.
The cafe itself is so cozy and the service is very good!

I lived here in college in the late 90s, and nothing has changed. Always stop here on my way through Iowa. Great coffee, great snacks, amazing atmosphere.
Parking: Parking only on the streets in downtown IC, so drive around until you find a spot and walk a couple blocks.

The food was very good. The Cashier didn't really listen when we ordered and our order wasn't quite as we requested. Restaurant is nice however.

The wifi is terrible. It’s sometimes impossible to connect, and even if you do, it’s slow and sometimes nonfunctional. This is especially true when it’s midterm season and there are lots of students studying, which is somewhat often during the school year.

Stopped in for a Breakfast sandwich and coffee. Nice relaxing atmosphere, good coffee. Had the avocado and egg sandwich. Just the right amount of salt to bring out the flavor. The potatoe bun was a really nice touch.

Cute coffee shop in the heart of Iowa city. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. My white mocha was delicious, the menu seems like there is something for everybody. It is family friendly and looks like it’s a pretty popular spot for the college kids. Will definitely be back!

Used to come here in college to get the best coffee in town the pour over coffee is the Best!!! I loved the American Gothic and St Louis
