I got a bacon chicken ranch pizza and it was the saltiest pizza I’ve ever had. I couldn’t make it past the first slice without a tall glass of water. Now disappointed i had to let the pizza cool and for the cheese to solidify so that I could risen it off in the sink. I threw that baby in the air frier to reheat and it was so fire.

1 star pizza out the box, 5 stars pizza after the rework

I’m usually a regular at Wig Pin and the food is solid, but our recent takeout order was really disappointing. The chicken strips were raw in the middle. But I had this issue more than once but I did not bring this to attention until now. I’m hoping this was just a mistake, because I usually enjoy eating here.

Prior to posting this...I reached out to the owners to address this but they chose not to respond. We ordered a pizza as we have many times prior. When we went to pick it up...the front door was propped open and the place was full of flies!! Flies on EVERYTHING!! That included the area where food was prepared!! Needless to say...we will not be returning!! As of the pizza 🍕...it was good but as we ate it couldn't get the thought out of our head about all the flies and had they been on the ingredients that made our pizza??!!

I’ve had pizzas from here a number of times and I’ve never been disappointed, yummy. Because the pizzas are Chicago style, so they take more time to prepare, but worth the wait.

Just threw the pizza in the trash. Over cooked didn't get any of the dipping sauces we ordered. This place used to be awesome.

This is a great local takeout spot. They work hard and have good customer service. I like their options for pizza and sides. Their deep dish is actually really good! The main reason I'm giving them a 4 instead of 5 is there's too much cheese for me. I think it's their signature thing, so I'll figure out how to ask for less. It sounds crazy to think there could be such a thing as too much cheese but it's true. Otherwise, I hope this place stays on the Eastside for a long time!

Unfortunately this is the 2nd time I have ordered from Wig and Pen on 1st Ave in Iowa City and the pizza has been sub par! It’s disappointing because North Liberty and 2nd Avenue are so delicious! I had the Spicy Hawaiian and Mozzarella garlic bread. The bread was frozen Texas toast with cheese for $8.00 was sad. The pizza crust had the consistency of cardboard and I got maybe 12 pineapple tidbits on a 12” pizza.

The best Chicago style in the greater Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area! HANDS DOWN! Stuffed spinach and sausage, always with a side of ranch (or 3)

I could have bought my fish and chips from a box at the grocery store. I'm told I was supposed to have ordered pizza?

Website says Dine-In but it's actually Pick -Up only. We ordered and then waited in our car 25-30 minutes. Pizza was fresh and hot. We liked the toppings however the thin crust was very hard and chewy. Will definitely go back and try a different crust.
