Website says Dine-In but it's actually Pick -Up only. We ordered and then waited in our car 25-30 minutes. Pizza was fresh and hot. We liked the toppings however the thin crust was very hard and chewy. Will definitely go back and try a different crust.

It was the final day of Thanksgiving Break. The Sunday Scaries were setting in and all the leftovers in the fridge sounded... uh, less than stellar. I threw out a few options to the fam and pizza won them over. Alas... the freezer was stocked with frozen options but that both sounded like too much work and again, uh, less than stellar. I popped on CHOMP Delivery to see what could be brought to my door. At that time and on that day there were a handful of options. Huzzah! Wig & Pen East to the rescue! While the Flying Tomato is the GOAT of all pizzas in the area (I will die on that hill) we were feeling less cheese and more sauce. (I was saddened to see the Detroit Style 'za is not slung at this location.) We opted for the Chicago Style. It's a stuffed deep dish pizza loaded with mozzarella and topped with a chunky sauce on top. Tomatoey perfection. It is sublime as is but we also got half with pepperoni, for good measure. Additionally, I am a sucker for breadsticks. Wig & Pen East has a lot of options! From the tried the true garlic bread to the cheese filled breadsticks. (Bosco sticks, anyone?) We got the ladder, because-- uh why not? The food came on time. The pricing is pretty standard-- we opted for the large and had plenty of leftovers. Each slice is very, very filling. The pie itself was perfection. The crust is so light and flakey. The four breadsticks that came hit the spot. Overall, the Sunday Scaries were forgotten for a time and I didn't have to cook. I'll consider that a win! Check their website out and order truly anything but especially the Flying Tomato or Chicago Style. You won't regret Wig (though you may need to unbutton your pants after indulging).

Awful service, food was really greasy, and they forgot to bring out our appetizer. My mom got sick to her stomach almost immediately after eating there.

Please change to take out only. From out of town and was looking forward to your pizza. Because of the holiday this location was the only one open. Seen you had done in. Nope it’s not!

Not a dine in spot, so not very fancy waiting area,BUT the prep area and ovens are very clean. Used to make and bake tastes treats. Great crew this Friday evening. I even called in to let them know my pie was FANTASTIC.

I have to agree with the review from 6/26/2023. After being a loyal customer for years and enjoying the consistency, I'm not sure what has changed here. Perhaps they have new ownership, staffing problems without proper training or have decided to change their recipe for some reason. I have written to them about this problem without receiving a reply. Just very disappointed with our experience with the last 3-4 pies and my wife won't even eat it anymore.

I'm not sure if it's changed hands or they are using different products but very disappointed with my Flying Tomato pizza tonight. We always order the same thing and tonight it was not the same. The crust was the same but that thick delicious cheese we've come to love with this pizza was gone! This was a totally different pizza and not what I was accustom to. We probably will just order from Coralville and make the drive to get this pizza. Pretty bummed especially for the price!

Very disappointed that this location doesn't have the dine-in option as it states in several online references for this establishment. That particular night, take out wasn't an option for our group. We left and went elsewhere.

Never open and they never answer the phone even when it is in working hours stated on Facebook and google.

Always happy when I get wig and pen food. Pizza is excellent and the staff is amazing!

Hands down the pizza here is the best in the Iowa City/Coralville area. The quality of the ingredients stands out. The crust has just enough crunch. This highlights two more reason to eat here: the build and the bake. They consider making and cooking your pizza an art form. The thickness of the crust, order of ingredients, amount of toppings - all of these variables are dialed in to perfection based on over a decade of slinging the 'zza. Highly recommended.

It's been over 2 hours since I placed my order through Chomp. I've been trying to call for 30 minutes and they won't answer the phone. Very frustrating.
