An Iowa City classic still booking great live music after 30+ years. Got to check out Mission Creek back on the 5th & 6th and was impressed by how much the staff and environment has improved since last year. Saw two bands last night and was happy to see they brought back food. Good to see live music is still thriving in IC
The live music and comedy are spot on. The monday night stand up is a warm and welcoming crowd full of support for newbies and the open mic music has an amazing jam session vibe to it. It helps that both if these are in their cozy basement that offers a unique and intimate atmosphere. They have more than affordable drinks and a lovely space. My favorite spot in iowa city by far.

It was dead the night I wasn't there but it was still a decent time though with the couple people that were in there. It felt like they weren't expecting some of the stuff that was said but it was all true and from the heart. It felt like they got to know me as not me though. They got to know my thoughts but not me. Not too bad of drinks either.
