I was so happy to find a Zio Johno’s close. Also nice to know it is ran by the same great people who were in North Liberty. Food is the same great quality that I look forward to.

The pizza was passable. The garlic bread pretty good. The pasta was the absolute worst, an insult to Italians. We threw it out. The bolognese was canned and the Alfredo smelled like vomit.

I had high hopes for my visit. However, those expectations were really not met. I ordered the chicken ranch sub, and the bread was good, but the chicken was very bland, and the ranch was more like a watery mayonnaise. I put salt and pepper on it, but that really didn't help. The lady at the counter was friendly enough when I ordered, so I did appreciate that.

Stopped here for lunch with my oldest boy (9) today before we headed home. Great service and food. My son is normally a bit picky but he liked everything as did I. Good portion sizes as well.

My son and I tried it out as our first restaurant in Iowa City. The food was so delicious. My leftovers are going on day 3 from my calzone.

Ya, they are slow and the lady that greets you seems to have a nonchalant demeanor. The new owner clearly has not made this place any better.It gives the option to add a photo, but it doesn’t really work…

Ordered the spaghetti bucket and garlic bread. It was ready in a timely manner, but the garlic bread was soggy, and the spaghetti sauce tasted like mold. :( My boyfriend ordered the supreme calzone, and it was pretty good at least!

Did some takeout. Got the chicken noodle soup and it was really great and still hot when I got home. The chicken noodle soup has a little spice to it and perfect for a day where you need a nice cup of soup. Feel like it was fairly priced!
Excellent choice for a family meal out. Affordable and lots of options to satisfy everyone. FRESH and great quality. Love this place!

Saw a Facebook add for a 16 inch sub for $6. Came in and was charged $12 for two 8 inch subs. When I said I was over charged, the manager said the price wasn’t $6. I showed him the add and he got oddly aggressive…yelled and laughed at me. I got a refund but I don’t think I’ll be back.

They do a good carryout business so there's always plenty of seating in best pizza in town they make it fast and bring it out hot
