The Lady working the drive thru at the Jefferson, IA location who is short with brown hair, has got to be the most RUDE person in customer service I have ever met. We have come to this place many many times and I haven’t been back in about 3 months due to her being extremely rude to my mother in law. So, I try again today, and once again she is just as rude as last time. Even yelling at another employee in the drive thru window when he questioned the quality of the drink which was about an inch below full) she handed out!

The food was the normal A&W quality. What really struck me was the staff. The young man who took my order was very polite and patient as I allowed my children to place their orders themselves. Then we went back to get ice cream, the kids got free ice creams, there was a little confusion on my part on weather or not I had paid for the right amount of ice cream. The young man did his best to try and explain. I wasn't understanding. It was getting busy, and I could see he was starting to get discouraged. The manager came over, placed a hand on his shoulder, and said, "You are right. I'll take it from here." Then she placed herself between me and the worker and asked me my order and then told me it was taken care of and made sure I had everything to my understanding. She then turned to him while getting my cones and said, "You did a good job." When she handed me my cone, I said,'You are right. He did a great job. He was polite and trying his best. I'm sorry I didn't understand. Thank you for stepping in to help." She said."You're right he did good. Earlier, a man came in and just kept yelling at him. He does not deserve that. No one does. I make sure things stay respectful. "
To me, a safe work environment means better service, and that means mentally safe, not just physically.

I spent the entire meal listening to the employee's using ever foul word they would think of. while the dining room is full of children!!! They were rude and disrespectful someone needs to explain that without the customer they have no job.
