6/25: food quality can be a little better, quantity is fine, kind of a half self serve place but the staff is good. Not upscale, but down to earth, good food and healthy quantities. Prices range from fair to modest.

Great local place with tasty BBQ. Also, has a wall of hot sauce bottles which is super cool.
If you dare there are crazy heat levels on BBQ sauce

Ok.. to start out this review and be fair.. my family and I heard this place had very good wings, so we drove about 20 minutes to try them. Saturday at 4pm so not after a busy dinner rush or anything.. Walked in and ordered, sat down, then when the kids food was done they advised they did not have enough wings to make my wife and I the food we ordered and paid for... Not a great first impression.. I get things happen and they gave me a refund for the wings (honestly should have refunded the entire order as we would have rather left.. but they said they had 6 wings and apologized then gave us those for free. The staff was at least professional and courteous about the situation... Just not ideal we had to go elsewhere for food while our kid had to sit and eat here there.

On to the food we did get:

The chicken fingers basket was good according to my kid. Said the bread was a bit stale and not great. The Mac and cheese was ok but said it was kind of cold and nothing special.

The 6 wings they offered us were actually very good! Had a nice smoke flavor and crispy coating with juicy meat! Buffalo sauce (is an up charge) and ranch were both very good.

Overall unfortunately we probably won't go back to this place. Not worth the chance of them being out of food again.. If you decide to give this place a try, I would recommend calling ahead and checking.

We ate here a lot when it first opened and we lived in Johnston. We have had it a few times and its just not good anymore except for the wings.

Absolutely love this spot! Families been doing forever and it never disappoints. Chicken is perfect and the sauces are so good I love the asian style. And after my meal Vandees Icecream is walkable right next door!

Their dry rub wings are the best in the metro. Very big and juicy. Cactus ranch is their secret sauce and great in any of their home breaded appetizers. Don't sleep on the spicy pickles either 🔥🔥🔥
