I just ordered the copper canyon and full rack of ribs. The chicken was good and so were the apples. The Ribs were incredibly dry, the brisket was ok and so was the pork. Very disappointed in the ribs. It's also disappointing to see no management or owners reply to the comments. It really shows that nobody really cares. My big regret is that I didn't go to Shortee's.

Super good food! Great price, great flavor, can’t beat it. The chicken had an amazing crust on it. If you’re in the area looking for bbq you have to try.

Food isn't as as good as it use to be and the current cashier is a air head she has helped me three time and have to repeat my order twice every time. Done eating there.

it's been a while since I ate at Cactus Bobs and my past experience was positive. I recently had lunch and the brisket sandwich was not edible. It was incredibly dry, super tough & tasted old. I was with other colleagues and didn't want to make an issue. I did write an email to [email protected] as I thought the owner would want to know and have heard nothing.

Iowa food Critic The food was absolutely terrible everything was out of a microwaveThe Texas brisket Absolutely terribleb No smoke flavor Tasted like it was cooked a week ago The turkey was half hard From being microwave too long The pulled pork was cooked too long after the sauce was put on and you could taste the burnt sugar in the sauce Best part of the meal was They're toasted bread Which I had to ask for Hands down worst barbecue in Polk CountyDo not take your family to this placeParking: Plenty of parking

My Mac and cheese was cold, but I ate it because it tasted good. Sat down on my couch afterwards and really thought about it. Still not sure how to feel.

Went in ordered the copper canyon. They didn't have sausage, so I had to pay to sub in brisket for the sausage. Got my pop, no carbonation. Got some hot BBQ sauce and realized the nozzle was blocked by dry sauce them realized almost every bottle was also blocked. Sat down and found out the fried pickles I ordered were quartered sweet pickles and were pretty gross, and they gave me chicken that I didn't order. Also didn't get the Mac n cheese I ordered.

I have frequented Cactus Bob's when in Johnston for a business lunch. My most recent visit was a step backwards. The server at the counter seemed disinterested. Food was okay but at a much higher price than my last visit.

Sat 12/9/23 1PM, I walk in and say hello to the lady working the register. She says nothing. I place my order. I ask her a few questions regarding the menu. She shakes her head yes or no. Then she makes it seem as if I inconvenience her when I ask if I can get my cup for the drink. If you're gonna sell a dried out meat sandwich and burnt fries for $14.50, at least say hello back or have some type of people skills.
