I didn’t get a chance to taste my food. Waited literally 40 mins to watch everyone ahead of me get their food, sat down with it and enjoy it, still no food for me. Asked if I could have it they told me there were orders before me which I knew there was, because I was standing right behind them , and ordered next, and now watching them about finishing their food. One manager refused to give me a refund said she will have another manager do it… he then came, asked what happened since he probably remembered me ordering because I ordered while he was standing there with an employee on lunch who may I add also got there food. Said they were actually making them now and to just take them…got the refund walk to the end where I thought they were made….guess what…. still no food. The guy that gave me the refund was more helpful for sure than the lady who wouldn’t come give me the money because cause she was acting so busy and blowing me off…only to have to come over there anyway to help him find my order in the computer and issue me a refund…food I don’t know….service 0 out of 10 my friend

The sandwiches here do not mess around! They are delicious! I’ve had the Magic Mushroom (Teriyaki Sauce, Mushroom, and Pineapple Sando) and the A-Train (Provolone, Mushroom, and Ranch Sando). Both of these were amazing on their Toasted Garlic Bread! I’m not a vegetarian or vegan. I’m an Omnivore, but these two Cheba Hut veggie sandwiches will become my go-to’s for now! I sampled a bite of the KGB and the horseradish was not over-powering at all, which is why it was awesome! lol anyway, check this place out. They have Kool-Aid to drink for Godsakes! It’s a super-friendly, clean, laid-back, and chill atmosphere. I met Misty, the owner, and was totally impressed by her professionalism, humor, and appreciation. Don’t take my word for it. Find out for yourself. You’ll never want Subway again.
Vegetarian options: I saw about 8-10 vegetarian options. 5 or 6 are specialty sandwiches, but when you can build your own sandwich it becomes totally vegetarian-friendly!
Parking: Plenty of parking. No worries.
Wheelchair accessibility: No steps at all, all furniture may be moved however you see fit, and wide spaces between tables.

I know they just opened so I understand kinks need to be worked out, I had the BLT and it was a nice twist to it with the honey siriacha. They forgot to put on the provolone cheese though but again, short staffed and new, still training. If you plan on coming here for a sit down meal I recommend it, but if you're on your lunch break for work I don't recommend it as you will be waiting 20 + minutes for your take out order/door dash, and your online orders so hold off until they get their flow going as that takes time till the kinks are sorted out, and please be patient if you do choose to come here on a lunch break. The Kool aid could use more sugar by the way!

We ordered the Thai stick the first day it was opened... let me tell you that has the perfect flavors put together I was amazed and im picky, like my food separated and not big on new flavors. Second time around we ordered the white widdow. We got it to go and had a drink at the bar, which was great! This one didn't do it for me like the Thai stick but my other half swears on this sandwich. We will keep going and trying new ones cause what they have proved so far is they have Great sandwiches!!! Thanks for moving in!

Great atmosphere, service, and they're subs are really good too. Such a great addition to the city of Johnston. This will definitely become a regular stop for my wife and I.
Sat at the bar and had a great experience. I love the theme and all the artwork. I saw Joni Ernst and Kim Reynolds eating there today, both wearing tie dye, which seemed odd. Other than that, the bartenders were super cool and the food was great! I got the french dip and an Easy Eddy. They also have PBR on tap which is top shelf.

I was so excited to see they are on DoorDash already on day 2 of being open. I’ve been so excited as I’ve wanted to try cheba hut for years and never thought we would have one in Iowa. It was everything I thought it would be. Delicious, fresh and perfect. Will definitely go in and experience dining in next time and plan on becoming a regular 😁
