Overall would recommend!

Wine selection was solid but not as large or varied as you would expect from a wine bar. Menu was hard to navigate because it was on a chalkboard in the corner. Great nooks to sit with a small group.

We came here for a post-dinner night cap. I don't drink but they had a really tasty non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Surprisingly, it didn't taste like straight juice. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. It was nicely designed. I love the dark moodiness. There was also really good live music tonight. Will continue to bring visitors here!

Great wine bar with a nice choice of interesting and good wines. Not a wine drinker? They also have beer and mixed drinks. The food menu is munchies, but we've stacked them to make a light meal. An old college friend and I needed a warm place to rendezvous. We hadn’t seen each other in 7 years. The owner was just opening and provided a great custom flight for each of us. The stories flowed and we learned a lot about how the establishment came to be.

It’s kid friendly and they’re having an early NYE celebration for the little ones if you don’t want to stay out late.

Yes they are Hawkeyes, but welcoming to all. It’s definitely a place to make a tradition.

So great to have such a high quality wine (and other things) bar in Johnston! Really classy place but also relaxed. Owner really knows his stuff about wine too. If you’re into Iowa craft beer, it’s one of the few places you can find pulpit rock, IFKYK.

This place is an ABSOLUTE 10 out of 10! Serena, the manager is EXTRAORDINARY!! I felt so welcomed and invited! The decor, the ambience, the service, the expertise, the PATIO! I cannot say enough! I will come to The Cork again, again and again! I've never been to a better Wine Bar! I encourage anyone in Johnston and the greater Des Moines area to check it out, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Ths was our 1st time visiting and was impressed with the selection of wines. I had a flight of red and my wife had white wine. They selected the wines and we were very impressed with them. Great people waited and had time to explain the wines and other selections we could try. We will definitely make a return visit soon.

We hosted our daughter's graduation party here and we were so pleased with the service & the amazing space. The owners were easy to work with from booking the event to discussing all the details. The manager was unbelievably helpful, and personable making sure everyone had what they needed. I cannot recommend this place more for a private event or simply a place to enjoy a great glass of wine and flatbread.

First time visiting, and I'll be back. The ambiance is very cool. They have a decent selection of wine, beers, and spirits. Not much in the way of food options, but they have a few options for bites that can accompany your drink. Service is 10/10. Great place to enjoy some drinks alone or with a group.
