Amazing place. Will be back many times. Only issue that I have is, you have to use cash or check. Not a huge issue though.

I randomly found this place a few years ago and I'm very glad I did! This is an Amish ran store which has a nice variety of items. The baked goods are amazing and priced very well! We have also bought plants from there as well, which have been great.
The staff is polite. They are often soft spoken and may seem a little shy, but I think that's a cultural difference for the Amish community in general, in my opinion, but it's a very welcoming place overall.
With it being an Amish store, there are no credit or debit transactions. Cash only, but as long as you know that in advance, there will be no issues. Just bring enough cash because you will certainly find things you want! Prices are reasonable and the quality is great.
If you're looking to purchase Amish baked goods, candy, plants, furniture, home decor, this is definitely a spot to shop!
It's an hour from where I live, but I make sure to go at least a few times a year. It's a very peaceful place in general, which I really like. They have a ton of bird houses so it's nice to see nature and soak in the quiet at the same time.
Side note, the owners are Amish and will not even see the nice things I have to say, so if my review makes anyone go there for the first time, please let them know and share!

This is one of our favorite bakeries in the area. It is run by the Amish. They do close for a couple months in the winter so don't plan on any goodies then. They have, for several years, been at the Washington Farmer's Market. It opens at 5 pm on Thursdays starting in May through Oct (I believe.) Get there early, there is always a line and they don't allow sales until 5 pm, period.
We love their caramel pecan rolls, whoopie pies, apple fritters, cheese garlic bacon bread, and twist donuts the most. During the mornings while they are still baking it is possible to get warm goodies. The caramel pecan roll was only 15 minutes out of the oven and it was all I could do not to eat it on the way home to save for my family.
My only complaint is that I wished they sold the whoopie pies in either a a smaller pack or better yet, singles. It is dangerous to get them in a larger multi pack.
They do have more than baked goods. They sell, some woodworking (furniture and toys,) wind chimes, books, toys, general goods, a bit of bulk food items, jams etc. There is a seating area for anyone who wants to enjoy their baked goods before hitting the road again.
Reaching this bakery was a bit of a drive but definitely worth it.
If you enjoy fresh baked goods, the Golden Delight Bakery is a great option in Kalona. A fair warning though: you’ll want to arrive early before the pastries sell out.
My purchases included a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin, a Red Raspberry Kolache, a Red Raspberry hand pie, an Apple Fritter, and a loaf of Onion Dill Bread.
The prices are very reasonable for considerable portions. Plus, knowing these treats are made fresh sweetens the deal.
The muffin I bought was moist and had plenty of chocolate chips. It paired well with the free coffee offered in the dining area. That said, it is recommended you leave a tip for the free coffee out of courtesy.
And although I didn’t purchase any for myself, I’ve heard some people praise their caramel pecan rolls.
The employees in this bakery work hard to produce quality treats and are very pleasant. I definitely respect their dedication to excellent customer service.
Safe to say, I’ll definitely be making another trip out there some time.
A must stop when in the area flower shopping!
It was very yummy!
This store has great fudge. They also have several variations of shortbread cookies without a lot of sugar. Some hard to find candies are available here as well.
