I arrived after their kitchen was closed, and this young lady went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get something to eat. She was very happy, friendly and genuine. If I could give more than 5 stars based on her personality, I absolutely would. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, she's a brunette and mis 20's, but she's A number 1 in my book! Thank you so much for everything and if I'm ever in the area, I will be back!

Ordered food to pick up at 609 pm. Was told 35 minutes. Might be longer. Got a call at 641 going to be 700. Called to check was told people who are there take priority. Not the time you order.

I do NOT recommend the bar ! we were visiting from out of town and were there on a Friday night at 9:30 p m. We asked the bartender ( younger Blonde girl) to turn up the jukebox for the 3 songs we had played. At first she did, but the one customer sitting at a table ( I think she was a local) complained that it was too loud so the bartender turned it way down. There were only 8 people in the entire bar at the time and a big bunch of very noisy patrons had just left. When I a

Good choice in Kalona for pub style burgers, hot sandwiches, and dinners. Spirits and domestic beers are available. My favorites are the bacon cheese burger or grilled pork tenderloin with a side of cottage fries. Prices and food are very good. Portions are generous. You will not go away hungry.Dinner service only so find another spot for lunch. Service can be spotty at times but still a solid place to stop and eat!

Stopped here for a few drinks while in Kalona. The place was not obviously marked as a bar but the drinks were strong and good. Service was quick and everyone was very friendly. Will definitely stop her again if I’m ever in the area.

The food is the only decent thing about this place. The kitchen opens whenever they feel like it - different time every time you call. Drove from Washington to Kalona to pick up our order and was told they were out of part of the order.
