Staff was short handed today. Place was packed, but that didn't stop the excellent food and the great service. Server kept coffee and drinks topped off well. There were 6 of us with the American Legion riders out of Ottumwa... we highly recommend this place.
I miss these types of small town restaurants. They always have the best food! Delicious biscuits and gravy like my gramma made. Best breakfast burrito i ever ate! Amanda was the server, she's so personable, makes you feel comfortable like you're a regular even if its your first time there. Everyone probably knew eachother, it was packed on a Saturday at 11am. I know why, great service, great food, hometown community vibe.

Not exactly a back street, but not on the main routes through town. It was easy to find because of the large number of cars parked on the street. Not a large place, but we were there during the midmorning breakfast rush. We were seated and our orders taken promptly, but the food took a bit to get out. It was worth the wait, the best breakfast burrito I've had in years. The ham and cheese omelet was also good. The coffee was always refilled before the bottom of the cup even...
