We have loved the Baggio's Italian Restaurant in Knoxville and are glad that they have opened a new one in Newton. The menu is the same and it is excellent. The Italian fare is genuine, excellent in quality, and well-presented. Given that they have only been open a week, they seem to have their act together. We had their Tour of Italy and the Chicken Jerusalem. Both dishes were well done, flavorful, and ample in quantity. The bread sticks were a nice complement. The Lemon Cello cake was a nice finish. We are glad their new location is closer to home and, given how busy they were on weeknight, hopefully successful.

Friendly staff but the food wasn't to our liking. We've been to many, many Itialian restaurants here and abroad. This is one we won't be back to.

Cute restaurant located downtown. The front lobby is plastered with large white hand written signs. Not a very classy look. I noted there are these white signs everywhere- even in the bathroom. They should be removed. The service is excellent and a very friendly staff. The food was good but a bit bland. Nicely prepared and a generous portions. One item is the napkin that came with the silverware is like tissue paper. Has to be the cheapest possible - McDonald's has much better. Please upgrade to match how nice the rest of the restaurant is. Overall a very nice place to dine and recommended.

Went in with a party of 5. Everyone ordered something different and we got an appetizer order of Calamari and Stuffed Mushrooms. Everything was excellent! Can't wait to go back and try other items off the menu. Most of the sauces theybise are homemade, along with the desserts.

Pam and I took a short Jeep ride South to Knoxville for lunch today. We wanted to eat at Biagio's Italian Restaurant to see what they're like, as we will be having one open very shortly in Newton.Biagio's menu is vast, we were hungry and all entrees sounding good so we ask our waitress, she recommended the lunch special "A Taste of Italy". Which is roughly one half a portion of the regular meal of Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine Alfredo. Our meals were insanely tasty. No need for a knife to cut cut into the Chicken Parmesan, it was so tender all we needed was the side of our forks. I won't even attempt to describe the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Lasagna, doubt if anyone would believe me, I'll just leave it at wonderfully awesome and literally exploding with flavor. We're both glad we didn't order the dinner sizes, the lunch stuffed us, It's 7:00 PM as I'm writing this and neither of us are interested in eating dinner tonight. Our experience was superb from the time we entered this restaurant until we left, our waitress was very helpful and attentive, checking on us a number of times and our meals came quickly. Our waitress told us Biaggio's have been in Knoxville approx. 4 years, we couldn't believe we never knew about them, we most certainly do now and will be returning as soon as possible. From our experience today my wife and I both very highly recommend Biagio's. To all my Facebook friends in Newton and the surrounding areas, you are in for a real treat when it opens in Newton.Oh, nearly forgot, sorry about the photo of the empty bowl, I was only thinking of myself and over eager to dive into the Creme Brulee.

The lady's that served me were super sweet and bubbly. But the food was horrible my Alfredo was very watery the chicken tasted spoiled and my noodles were hard. The beer was warm and the lasagna well I wouldn't even feed that to my dogs. The bread sticks were hard and my salad was yellow bagged salad with stale curtons the only part that was good was the garlic bread and the sweet waitresses .Worst food ever . Ya u did give discount on food I did not eat much of and the 24$ u gave back I asked to be tipped to our server's because it's not there fault and you didn't give it to them. But that's ok keep cooking frozen dishs. And if I wanted free food I wouldn't gave your food back and went paid to eat at Mannys dinner down the road. And I never asked for discount I told you take your junk food.

Was driving out of Des Moines for work and grabbed a late dinner and found this nice Italian restaurant. It was fairly dead being a Tuesday night but the staff was great and the food was incredible! Only thing I’d have to criticize is that the side salad was pretty lack luster.

No sir. Not a place I recommend food is not cooked all the way. No flavor to anything.

The appetizer was calamari and rather than being soft and tender with a bit of crispness it was hard as all get out and snapped like a bone when you were eating it. Also way too much of that appetizer it should be a smaller dish. Then had chicken Parmesan pasta dish and it was unexpectedly small. It should have been vice versa. Wasn’t worth the 27$ I spent on the food and a tip. It is authentic Italian but from what I can tell Baggio doesn’t care about his staff too much and seems kind of snobby and apathetic.

Even short staffed their service was great. It was overwhelming for the waitress but they did everything they could to keep all of us happy and served. They even let me have dessert first!! Win-win in my book. Their food was very flavorful definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area

Love the food and the service. Staff is friendly and have never had a problem with our order. A bit on the expensive side, but worth it for a nice meal out.

We had a great experience at Baggios - everything was delicious, service was friendly and the food was out quickly and hot! We had the tour of Italy, tortellini and limoncello cake (which was fantastic!). We’ll definitely go back!

Took my 18 year old daughter on a date night and wanted to try Baggios. First off…the place is somewhat clean and the staff and our waitress were very friendly. We sat in a booth. My seat was all duck taped up but whatever. Ordered cheese sticks and they were $7 and you could totally tell they came out of a freezer. Small and not really tasty. Then looking at the menu and prices seemed somewhat reasonable. My daughter ordered the shrimp scampi and I ordered the Baguio Special with mushrooms, chicken and small slices of sausage and tomatoes in a heavy cream sauce. They both tasted decent but you could tell everything our dishes were not fresh…you could tell they were all once frozen. Oh yeah, the dinner salad we got before hand was iceberg lettuce and small croutons. That’s it…could of been a spring mix with tomatoes, cheese, homemade croutons…but anyway. They also charge extra after your first refill of drinks. Was hoping for more of a fresh Italian experience but was a little disappointed. Oh and the breadsticks they brought to the table tasted like they came from a box and thrown in a microwave. But again…the staff made it a good experience and it was only our first time so we may try it again.
