I wanted so much from this place. It smelled amazing when we got in. We were brought menus right away our server was super nice and attentive. The portions where huge, but the food was pretty bland and not as hot as one would expect. The pancakes where fluffy in the middle, but hard and crunchy on the bottoms like they had been left in a warmer too long. The chicken fried steak was pretty good, but they sure did skimp on the gravy. The scrambled eggs where very undercooked and still quite runny. Maybe they where just having an off day, but not sure we will be back.

To be brutally honest, the food is overpriced for what you get. The original restaurant (Mr C’s) had more affordable meal options - now everything is alacart. Staff is always rude, staring and basically pressuring you to pay and leave as soon as you get your food. As for the atmosphere it is too loud, they have completely tore down all walls inside - making it a very noisy and an unpleasant atmosphere. This review is based off of 3 separate visits, and it’s safe to say I will only return if others choose too and I have no say. Which is sad cause I use to eat Mr C’s 2 to 3 times a week on average before the change.. Many other, much better, options in town where I’d much rather spend my money.

Good food, friendly service! The evening we were there, I had the special, which was a guinea grinder....it tasted fine, but too much like a sloppy Joe for me. The onion rings on the other hand were great...very thin and crispy! And my husband had the tenderloin, which he enjoyed. We'll be back.
Small out dates place to eat. Food was ok. Service was decent. Really not much to say but maybe invest a little money into the place and update it.

They wanted to to sit at a filthy table. Poor service used a dirty towel to wipe table. Then left it wet again poor service. Stay away.

This was Mr. C's the last time I was here! We both got breakfast. They were not making omelets the day we went which was disappointing but understandable. The Knoxville Nationals was giving them a ton of business! The bacon was over crisp but the eggs were good as were the potatoes. My husband got a skillet with gravy and onions and peppers. If was good too. The sausage gravy was more of a white gravy but tasty. They were attentive, fast and the pancakes smelled heavenly!!
