Nearwood is truly one of Knoxville’s hidden gems! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the friendly and gracious owners. Joanne and I enjoyed several wonderful conversations that made the experience feel personal and memorable.
The vineyard is beautiful, lush, and incredibly relaxing. I took advantage of the 3-for-$5 wine tasting, which was a great way to sample their offerings. The charcuterie is not to be missed. Sitting outside, listening to the birds sing, and enjoying the gentle breeze created the perfect peaceful afternoon.
If you’re looking for a charming local vineyard with warm hospitality, beautiful scenery, and a laid-back atmosphere, Nearwood is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to return! 🍷🌿☀

We are Harvest Host members and were in a bind for a place to stay at the last minute. We called Mike and JoAnn and they told us to come on over. Wow, instantly friends!! We went from not knowing where we were going to stay to having a wonderful evening!! Three hours of talking and laughter and wine!! We will go out of our way to visit them!! The wine was delicious winery is relaxing and the hospitality was amazing!! Thank you Mike and JoAnn ❤️

We were introduced to Mike and Joanne and their wonderful Iowa winery through RV Overnight. They welcomed us with great conversation, laughter and their delightful wines. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment we got to spend in their company and their engaging conversation. Only wished we had stayed longer. Highly recommend you give their wine and hospitality a try.

We enjoyed our visit here and stayed overnight as part of the Harvest Host experience. Mike and Joann were immediately available to set us up with their dedicated space to include 50amp service, level gravel surface and a sitting area next to the vineyard. We tasted their wines and had great conversation outdoors in their sitting area. They offer a restroom to include a shower and were generous regarding our departure time. They also offered to prepare some food for us as part of their offerings. We had a lovely and restful stay.
My husband & I enjoyed a peaceful afternoon of sipping delicious wines! Great staff, looking forward to our visit in August!!
