The food was average, and the service was great! They held a table for us.

Slowest place on earth. An hour to get a $6 piece of overcooked hash or an omelette. I swear the cook makes one order at a time. We started eating popcorn, we waited so long for our breakfast. Dinner isn't any better. 45 minutes for a calzone. And why does a calzone cost a dollar more than a pizza? They are the same thing???

My daughter loved the playground and the campsite
Cannot pay cash to camp and prices are absolutely ridiculous when you can stay at a state campground 10 min away for half the price. This place used to be so nice but now I’ll go out of my way to not stay here.
It's my favorite place to go

Great atmosphere and excellent service!!!
Food was good. Staff was excellent. If you’re a tenter go somewhere else. This place is a rip off.$34.00/after they told us 25$ on the phone (surcharge etc) For nothing! Everything else was extra: Showers, laundry, electricity. Plus crappy places for tents. Garbage by restrooms was overfilled. A sad experience!

Red Barn was the perfect spot to take our large camping group! The owners communicated with us ahead of our trip and were extremely responsive to any questions/needs we had while camping. Our group enjoyed the weekend festivities of hayrack rides and a movie. The campground is spacious and clean. Bathrooms are a very short walk to the tent camping spaces. The kids in our group enjoyed the stream, playground, sports courts and mini-golf. We would definitely recommend!
This is a large (100 +/- sites) well maintained campground in proximity to Lansing and the Mississippi River. Most of the sites are occupied by folks that live there weekends or more in the summer and use it as a base for fishing purposes - we were there early in the season and the river was not accessible (flooding) so it was not crowded. The transient sites are grass, pull through mostly level off gravel access roads the hookups are modern, convenient and functioned properly. No included WiFi for the campground, no cable tv, some chance for satellite reception and some OTA stations available (4 - all PBS) - Verizon cell service was okay.
Would love to give a 5 star review...however, even after checking in online prior to arriving, a reserved spot with the appropriate amenities was no longer available. I had to use a site that did not fully accommodate my needs. People waiting for the shower used my picnic table as a place to wait for their turn, sewer and 30 amp was being used by the neighboring trailer so I had to borrow a 50-30 amp dogbone and ask to dump my tank. Granted it was VERY busy due to RAGBRAI...but doesn't reserving a spot mean when you arrive you should have all the amenities you paid for? Other than that snafu (we lived and still enjoyed the site), it was an awesome place to stay! And I loved they had a great restaurant onsite!!
What a great way to kick off the 2022 camping season! We have a seasonal spot here, and we were really excited to visit the restaurant our opening weekend. They worked on the bar over the winter (it’s beautiful!) Food wise, they’ve worked on the menu, and everything we ordered was great. I personally had a burger, which they said the patty was from a local meat market. Other entrees in our party included (and I would recommend) - Reuben, chicken bacon ranch wrap and good ol’ chicken tenders. Stop in - it’s so good!!!
