“Red Barn was the perfect spot to take our large camping group! The owners communicated with us ahead of our trip and were extremely responsive to any questions/needs we had while camping. Our group enjoyed the weekend festivities of hayrack rides and a movie. The campground is spacious and clean. Bathrooms are a very short walk to the tent camping spaces. The kids in our group enjoyed the stream, playground, sports courts and mini-golf. We would definitely recommend!”

“The food is always great and salad bar! Very limited drink selection, but the view of the Mississippi is always a great place to hangout for burgers and beers plus all of their appetizers are hand breaded and to die for!”

“Small, not fancy, but a good bar and grill. Has a bar, a few tables (maybe 4), two booths, and a small dinette counter with four or five stools. A mom and daughter, probably the owners, cooked all the food. It was simple and very good. I had the Friday lunch special of goulash (better than it sounds). The other specials were a turkey club and a chicken fried steak. A variety of burgers and sandwiches are available. A fish fry is available for dinner on Fridays. They do have take out. Several people called ahead and then ran into pick up up their food and go. The service was good and everyone was friendly. Bathrooms very clean.If you're going through New Albin, Iowa, I recommend a stop.”

“We didn’t eat. Service was okay, the bartender was very focused on the gentlemen at the other corner of the bar. Bathroom was nice and clean. Prices affordable.”

“My husband was shooting on pool league as a sub we did not eat here. However we have in the past and food has been delicious as always. Great stop to get a drink and meal. I still wish that some of the activities would return. Trivia night, music and dancing we really miss that and others I have talked toothers feel the same.”
