Great bar and restaurant on the Lansing side of the river. Owner was bartending the day we were there and he was working hard at getting everyone served. Great views of the river and the bridge!
I have been coming to Shep’s for many years and have never been left with anything but great service and food. I do not live super close by, but I absolutely go out of my way to head to this establishment when I can. I have gotten the chance to get to know many of the individuals at this place, and I appreciate all of the service and memories from here. Wonderful little place right on the Mississippi in Lansing, Iowa with a great view of the old bridge. Decor was as you would expect for a restaurant on the river. Staff were friendly, nice selection on the menu and the food was amazing. If you go, try the tater tot nachos! Unbeatable.
