Stopped in back in November. Google had the restaurant as being open. The lights were on. We did not see the sign on the door stating they were closed. One of us went to the bathroom prior to anyone meeting the rest of the group at the door stating they were closed. Our party left. The one person still in the bathroom overheard the conversation about our party after they left. You'd have thought we tried to rob the place and were less than humans. Do better, even when you think nobody is listening. I have no idea what the food is like, I do know how they will talk about you after you have left their establishment.

Biscuits and Gravy was NOT good. City prices for mediocre at best food. I come from a large city in another state I guess my standards were way too high. You would be better off eating at the gas station. Keep driving and go somewhere else :(

We were on a Driftless drive and got hungry. The Buck Stops Here was rated well; love the name, and I actually wrote a poem with that same title after the last election. Anyway, my story begins and ends with one thing: Dill Pickle Cole Slaw. When I get to a diner, I usually read the menu of sides first. I had to find a way to get that Slaw. There was a “Buckwich” sandwich: pulled pork topped with Dill Pickle Slaw. But then there was the DW Tasty Tendy: a tenderloin with slaw on the side. I told the waitress I was torn between the two. “Ummm, that’s a tough one. The cook pounds, trims and hand-breads the pork himself.” Yo. As it turned out, my wife ordered the pulled pork, and I ordered the tenderloin. Best tenderloin I have ever had: crisp outside and moist in the middle. Luckily, my wife and I still share, I got to try the best of both worlds. Dill Pickle Slaw made it.
The diner has a comfortable knotty pine atmosphere, great food, excellent service - and don’t forget the crispy chicken wings and super dipping sauces. (Breakfast seems to end at 11.) Be the buck for a while - STOP HERE!

Went for breakfast and for flavorless biscuits and gravy and a plate that was 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast, which they would not substitute for a single pancake, was $32.00. Do not waste your money here.

Stopped here for lunch on a road trip. The cranberry turkey melt was gourmet quality. Onions rings were to die for. Very friendly service.
