I stayed at Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood for 5 days and ate at Big Drop Café several times during my trip. The food was consistently solid. nothing overly fancy, but tasty and reliable. Prices were reasonable, and the menu had plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Only thing I wasn’t really impressed with was the cheese steak. Steak had no flavor and it came on a hot dog bun.
The café was always clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Service was quick, even during busier times, and the atmosphere was comfortable — a nice break from the casino floor.
Not the best meal you’ll ever have, but definitely not the worst. If you’re at Grand Falls Casino, Big Drop Café is a dependable choice you can count on.

I did a late afternoon sandwich run from Sioux Falls to Grand Falls Casino. (Yes, it's THAT good. Grand Falls offers pleasurable dining, enough to do a quick 25 min drive to Iowa and back.) I really loved it. So Big Drop has excellent hours and they vary so check the schedule. For the patrons staying at the resort it will be your late night option unless you choose something else or choose to bring your own provisions.
That said, I did wait about 7 minutes in line. I didn't mind. The atmosphere was great. Many families and couples have a pleasant dining experience that my line wait went fast.
I will preface that the I've been on carnivore/ketovore long enough that I can take a day off every few weeks to enjoy a good meal. The only Zero Sugar option on the beverage menu is water (no sparkling water is available, not even in the gift shop.)
I ordered 2 Reuben sandwiches (you can make them into a combo (fries, drink.) I also ordered a full chicken strip basket (4pcs, fries, drink)
EVERYTHING is made to order so you will have to wait when its COOKED. They did have 2 line cooks, 4 servers, and a shift manager. Everything was pretty smooth for me (I'm used to ridiculous wait times in Las Vegas so this was fairly fast for me.)

The sandwiches were really tasty. The rue bread was awesome, the 1000 Island sauce was peak sauerkraut was crunchy. Pastrami was well prepared. The fries remind me of Checkers/Rally's fries ... They are THAT good.
I will say Kwik Star (Quick Mart and Gas Station) has PHENOMENAL chicken strips so having these were just okay, they weren't bad at all just not cut, breast meat strips (chicken breast meat v chicken puree strips) ie Chicken Tornado roller meat you get at a Get N Go or Amoco.
The ice machine didn't have ice, I'm sure had I mentioned it They would have filled it but initially I was looking for unsweetened tea.
The presentation is also very good. They use commercial use compostable containers which are better than styrofoam so that was neat. The atmosphere was very clean and organized.
The do have a Starbucks lease (ie the can sell you Starbucks drinks just like Big Box retailers, so yes you can enjoy a frapp late night.)
Everyone was polite, I really enjoyed getting home and sharing food from Grand Falls with family. Best place to for Reuben at the South Dakota/Iowa state line. The prices were reasonable (you'll pay just a bit more in local casinos like Sam's Town in Las Vegas, so I take that into consideration.)

Tried to get some Food at the Bid drop 5-7-25 just before 9pm there where 4 or 5 employees by where the food comes out they refused to take my order after awhile i just left. i was staying at the hotel no food for me that night -- Tried my luck again at the big drop 6-19-25 around 2 pm there was a Manager there doing a great job. Decent service, got my food fast, my burger and fires was really good, No complaints. keep it up :)

The food was alright. My wings were under cooked. I did get them exchanged for new wings. The cashier handed an entirely new basket! Fresh too! He is so polite. He took my order and even delivered my food! This is definitely a place to hit up on a Friday night! I wasn’t sure if I was paying for the food or the excellent service.

We use to come here quiet a bite a go thay use to have fresh burgers Know there gross there flap thay look like thay came out the freezer Thay use to be juice there not juice anymore theres something wrong with this meat im very dispoiment here I hope thay do something cause i shirley wont be eating your burgers. any time sooner. Low score here, but not sure why?? The food was great. Served quickly, from friendly employees. This is the only option in the casino after 8p. Monday to Thursday. The menu is large and prices aren't terrible as you would expect inside the casino. Meals even came with a beverage!
Have been grabbing a quick bite to eat at Big Drop for years. This is the first time I wanted to go get my money back. The chicken strips I got today were disgusting. They looked and tasted like whatever it is that Burger King uses for their chicken nuggets. I couldn't/wouldn't finish eating my meal.
If I'm spending $32 (two meals) at a dining establishment, I expect to get a bit more quality food.
Will probably eat in town before we come out here to dine again

I'm truly baffled by these reviews. We have lunch there once a month and have never had a bad meal. Our food always arrives inside of five minutes and is hot and fresh. My favorites are any of their burgers, the taco salad, and hot beef. Generous sides, too! Play a little and they'll put comps on your card to either pay for or at least offset the cost.

We visited the casino on Thursday August 17 around 6 pm. Ben (I think that was his name, the guy who gets the food from cook and puts it in table so the ladies bring it to thevtable,). Ben was extremely racist towards our group when I asked him for hot sauce, he yelled at me a racist slur when I told him I was going to complain that he was ignoring me. An employee like him is very damaging to a business, I am surprised of his behavior, the ladies who run your food where nice and respectful but Ben was that bad that we did not even stayed at the hotel as we had planned

I called and voiced my concern & she made excuses and blamed me for not having the person taking/giving me my order verify. Hard to go elsewhere when it’s the only place open, you’d think they’d strive to be better.
