I have dealt with auto repair shops in Ames and Des Moines and have found many mechanics or shops have questionable ethics.
I have found the CarX in Ankeny to be a good shop. The work is good. If there is something they do not have the skills to do, they have made recommendations for me. They do not try to fix and bill me for poor quality work.
Thanks guys for being an A-1 crew and shop.

Agree. A hidden gem. Friendly service. A waitress helped a patron clean his dusty glasses off while we were there. He didn't seem bothered by them, but she took care of him anyway. Super sweet. Breakfast was tasty. Had a skillet and some pancakes. Definitely recommend.
