“Very welcomed - food was very warm and very large portions. Some replacement needed on the seating seats and tables are showing some ware. Food was excellent! Will come back.Parking: Easy parking”
“Drove 51 minutes to go to Taylor's. They only do maid-rites. weird, right? They only have 1 size sandwich, no fries, or malts. The sandwich was good, and their peach pie was the best I've ever had.”
“Stopped in while doing some business in Marshalltown. The servers were all incredibly welcoming. My food (ordered the Napoli Pasta) came out quickly and was very tasty and filling. Despite being full the Tiramisu was calling my name. It was creamy, chocolatey, and really satisfied my sweet tooth. Definitely a nice place to check out for some Mediterranean cuisine in the area. I will definitely eat here again.”
“This is without a doubt the finest eating experience available in Iowa. From the second you walk in the door you get the hospitality and the down home feel. The restaurant staff are beyond wonderful, the sandwiches are stacked and very reasonably priced. Homemade deserts are there to finish out your meal, fluff cookies and cakes. This restaurant is truly a part of the Marshslltown and Iowa culture. If it were closer I'd eat here twice a week with no problems. It is cash only so beware of that but it's well worth stopping at an ATM or bank.Parking: There is a lot and a rear access door.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessable through the front sidewalk and a ramp in the rear.”
“Small dining room but very comfortable! The food was amazing! Bf had the fajita quesadilla and I had the combo fajitas! Servings are huge and so good! Thank you for an awesome lunch! Great service and warm smiles!!”
“Rubes is a fun place for a family and friends. Cooking your own food really adds to the fun. The steak is phenomenal and I highly recommend the mac and cheese. They also have a lot of fun cocktails for 21+.The only thing I would say is you definitely need a reservation for your group, especially any group the is over 5 people. We also were rushed to cook our food because of the large amount of parties trying to get a spot at the grill.”
“A Mexican restaurant that needs to stick to Mexican food. Everything was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed, prices were average, la ton of options to pick from. I only have 1 complaint. My husband ordered onion rings for an appetizer. They came out over done and I found a hair on the plate. I tried telling the server that I wanted a different order of o.r. he must have thought I said my o.r. were too crispy, because my next order came back underdone.”
“Been eating Pho for years ❤️ New in town, first time customer...ordered over the phone, sick at home and hubby picked up. Pho was exactly what I expected and needed. Next time, I hope to dine in.”
“Best pancake we've ever had! HUGE! I got the hot beef sandwich, and the gravy was made from scratch, Beef was so tender it melted in my mouth. It's an hour's drive for us, but I'm already planning when we can go back for breakfast some weekend, yes it was that good ?”
“Definitely try the wings- best in town. They are also serving amazing hand breaded jumbo shrimp. If you like shrimp this is a MUST try! Great menu for better than average food in a bar. Nice open floor plan for large crouds.”
“Good food and prices. They accommodated our party of 11 perfectly. Didn't wait too long for the meal and everyone got theirs at the same time. Will be back!”
“An amazing spot for yummy food and good vibes. The cookies are to die for, and the boards are always adorable! There is always a live band when we go, and the owners are the best! We look forward to going back all the time? Ohh and the champagne Volleraux is MY FAVORITE, cannot forget that ???”
“Quaint little Amish store. The lady was super nice, and the baked goods are phenomenal! Honestly, some of the best I've ever had in my life! I recommend the raspberry cream cheese rolls.”
“Good place to go to have consistently good Mexican food. Large menu with something to please everyone. The mixed drinks are pretty good, they claim the best margarita in Iowa, but that may be debatable.Good service and food, worth a shot if you want Mexican.”
“I remember coming here as a child. My mom's favorite thing to get was a chocolate chip shake. Now I like to go there and get a cone dipped and a little crunch coat in a cup and eat it all together.”
“A nice bar! Seems like a good selection of drinks. There are a handful of different tables for billiards and digital dartboards. The main areas and bathrooms are clean.”
“Awesome place to go have a good friendly fun time! Bartenders are wonderful... Great ppl to see there, play foosball and pool plus Joe has a killer jukebox selection of music of all kinds to listen to.”
“Always They're good atmosphere, and they make great food and shakes their pies really good as well if you're ever passing through. It's definitely a place that you need to stop and eat at atkwqqqqqast at once!”
“Great place with options. Want to play pool and listen to the jukebox? Stay in the main bar. Want to hear live music? The back patio has a full bar and has a band almost every weekend in the summer and fall. Want a chill vibe? The VooDoo Lounge downstairs is usually playing jazz music and makes some drinks probably not available anywhere else in town.”
“Amazing place to hang out and have a drink. Nice patio that's fenced in and has a roof and in the winter we plastic the entire patio to protect you from the cold winter wind.”
“This was my first time here. I was on a date with my husband and It was spectacular. Service is top tier. Food is incredible. The drinks are amazing. All around absolutely incredible experience. Such a beautiful establishment. I highly recommend going here.”
“This restaurant is usually quite busy during normal meal hours. We call in pick up or delivery.com orders often. The Food is Always hot and fresh. They're friendly and check on you appropriately. Not usually when you have just put a bite in your mouth. The dining area can be loud when it's busy, but it's generally still good for conversation.”
“Great staff, very clean, and great drinks.FYI, they do not accept cards so make sure to have cash. They do have an atm as well invade you forget. One of my favorite bars here in town!”
“Really nice staff. My daughter spilled her hot chocolate right before leaving hyvee and when we went to reorder they remade her drink for free. She had been having a rough morning so it really meant a lot to me that they did that.”
“Drive thru..ordered Ceasars Wrap, BBQ chips & the new brownie cookie. She repeated it all back. As we were pulling out I checked the bag, no brownie but all not charged for it. I was really in a chocolate mood..lol”
“What a great pizza place! They have a good selection of draft beer - Iowa local selections of Grig Grove Confluene and Exile. We had the Zeno's special pizza - soo good!”
“Lots of people, mostly younger crowd, always music and dance floor is hot, nice pool tables and big acarde area with lots of fun games. Sometimes service takes awhile and maybe they could use more bartenders during peek hours but the bartenders are always working hard and are cute so it makes up for it. Good vibes in general.”
“Four stars because I always have a good time here and the regulars are friendly. Th3 bartender I had yesterday poured plenty of vodka in my drinks which I appreciated. It's not a fancy bar, and smells of sanitizer or something but hey...dive bars are kinda cool”
“This is a Godfathers pizza express location combined with Gas Station/C-store that sells beer, liquor, tobacco, wine, groceries, and also have a ton of amazing appetizers to choose from already made in the hot case. 5 star is for their prices :)”
