“First timers: the food was very good, prepared well. Food we purchased: Cowboy Bob spicy but not too spicy. The burger was tender. The Brisco: similar to the frisco. The bread was toasted perfectly. Mac cheese: the Cheeto dust really gave it a great flavor Buffalo wings: great smoked flavor! We were not disappointed. The lady taking orders and cleaning tables was super sweet and helpful!”

“I stopped at Lara’s yesterday for the first time, and was greeted with wonderful smells and beautiful smiles! The staff was very, very kind. I told one of the girls I’d never been in before, and she proceeded to show me everything on display. All of the yummy baked goods and pastries are huge, and the prices are very very reasonable! I left with 7 treats and only paid $9.50. Awesome quality, astounding service, a joy to have in Marshalltown!”

“I completely forgot to take pictures of the amazing cookies we got for our daughter's baby shower. The chocolate chip cookies are literally the best chocolate chip cookies we have ever had!!! (The monster and sugar cookies are also a 10/10 recommend!!). Michelle went the extra mile and also made an amazing,personalized monster cookie!!! “Our first time at this restaurant in Marshalltown Is. This was not a place with alot of room. The booths were pretty close together and we could hear the nexts booth conversations. There was another seating area in there than the one we sat in, but I couldn't see it. It may be more space? Anyway, the menu is quite limited....to mainly pizza! They had a few vegetarian options and a few choices for side dishes, but that was about it. I have to day, the pizza was amazingly delicious! And so was the cheese bread. I think they make their own bread, and cover it with real mottzarella cheese (alot of it)! It is served hot on a plate with marinara sauce for dipping. We got the Zenos Special pizza. It had sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions & green peppers and lots of creamy mottzarella on top. The crust is so good. Its all homemade and crispy and served on a metal tray. This will be our go to pizza place from now on, whenever I come to Marshalltown. I thought it was the best pizza I've had in years, seriously. It beats Pizza Hut and Casey's pizza hands down! Try it and you will be praising it too!”

“The food was great, but it took almost 10 minutes for anyone to notice that we needed seated. We would have left but we were really craving the food. Our server was okay but not very attentive. I think they were short staffed. The food was excellent though. Try the hot tenderloin!”

“I love both Buzzbee owned M-town business’s. Zeno’s and Rosie’s (wayward’s pub part ). The Buzzbee family could have invested in any community they wanted, but they chose Marshalltown! For that I am grateful and appreciative. Great food, with good vibes!”

“Can't recommend Terri enough! She made two dozen adorable Halloween themed baby shower cookies, and they were delicious!! I've never had one of these decorative cookies that I actually thought tasted good, I honestly just thought you had to choose between eye catching and taste. But these were both! Beyond pleased, guests at the shower texted me after bringing them home to let me know how great they tasted. Highly recommend.”

“Four stars because I always have a good time here and the regulars are friendly. Th3 bartender I had yesterday poured plenty of vodka in my drinks which I appreciated. It's not a fancy bar, and smells of sanitizer or something but hey...dive bars are kinda cool”

“Authentic Mexican in Iowa? Who would have guessed! We live in Texas, where good street tacos are prized. Maria's are as good as any I've had at home or in Mexico City. The posole was flavorful, and husband said the burrito was five star. Homemade horchata was best I've had anywhere. Every time we come to Marshalltown for family, Maria's is a must stop. Don't expect a fancy restaurant. It's window service from an old house, and you eat at picnic tables on the enclosed front porch or outside. But every Texan knows the best Mexican food comes from a hole-in-the-wall joint.”

“Good deal on honestly the best buffet in iowa. 10/10 would visit again for a fix on Mongolian beef, seafood delight, green beans, macaroni salad and the fantastic peanut butter chicken. They got us right in and we're patient as we ate plenty. Worth the money!”

“There were very few customers there when we came for dinner so we got very diligent and kind service from multiple servers. I had to mark the atmosphere down one as I had to kick aside a piece of dropped lettuce from my path getting into our booth, depositing it about a foot from a dropped plastic wrapper for a straw next to another table. It made me feel things were a little unsanitary. Right when we were about to order food to eat.

The servers were rolling silverware when those things were on the floor next to them. I understand they can't sweep and vacuum all the time, and we came after the dinner rush, but I think it would be wise for one person to go around the dining area and pick up obvious things like that off the floor, after meal rushes, while the other person rolls silverware, etc. I say this as a former store owner and it is something I would have advised my employees to do after a big rush: 1 work on straightening and picking up while maybe the other work on prepping new product to go out, etc.

The service and food were fabulous. And we will greatly enjoy our take home muffins, too. It was the feel good, relaxing, hearty meal experience our souls needed after stressful times. And we chose to go to Perkins because we felt we could count on having that enjoyable pass time there.”

“I know Hardee's in New Ulm MN has had some issues, but I went there today and was more than impressed! there were at least four people working there and they were so friendly and the food came really fast. it was fresh and hot and delicious! I can't wait to go there again, it looks like they have really pulled it together!”
