I have a dietary restriction and I modified my meal. When I got what I ordered I asked if that was 1/2 the amount they usually put on it and the waitress was very rude when she answered yes. Then she never came back for me to get a refill on my drink. She gave me a dirty look and had a bad attitude when you ask a question. The food was delicious but I hope I do not get her service again. This place was an oasis amidst defunct restaurants. We received excellent service, the ambiance was welcoming, the drinks were cold, and the food was delicious. Their fried pickle fries might be the best I've ever had. Great experience, all around.

Coming from a big city, I’ve always had plenty of choices for food. I haven’t always found that in Iowa. Whiteys is an exception. It’s a small town dinner worthy of being featured on TV. The food is incredible and I drive over 30 minutes to come here just for the steak sandwich. I feel like I’ve found gold in Iowa and I encourage everyone to visit. It’s right off the highway, easy parking, and worth the trip!
