“After reading that they had Iowa’s best tenderloin in 2023, we decided to check them out. We were not disappointed. The tenderloin was just as ordered. I had pickles and onions, while my husband got the lettuce and tomatoes on his. It was meaty and perfectly breaded.\nWe also had a side salad, that included carrot & celery stick, radish, grape tomato, hard boiled egg, and croutons besides the lettuce and dressing.\nThe service was friendly and we even met the owner for the past 50 years. What a treat!”

“The problem with this place is that there's no sign out front anywhere saying that it's a restaurant. You can drive rite past it and not even know it's a restaurant. You can even park in the parking lot and still don't know it's a restaurant. They need to put up a RESTAURANT HERE sign.”

“We met family at Templeton on a hot Saturday in July. It was the perfect activity! I have done several distillery tours before but this one was very unique compared to the others. There is the history element of bootlegging in the Midwest and getting product to Chicago and both coasts. There is the local history that is amazing about the area. Unlike older distilleries, this one was built not very long ago with tours in mind. This tour is worth the trip and the rye is astonishing good. Pro-tip: Come early and view the walk through museum first. There is too much to see during the tour. Save the gift shop after your taste test and any other drinks you order.”
