Ice cream was very good. Staff was terribly rude. Used to that kind of attitude in an NYC bodega, but not so much here. So much for Iowa Nice.

I'm reading a book right now on how to start up a small business. It says know your product. So Ive been eating ice cream every day to help mature my palate. Todays stop was for homemade ice cream at Sweet Treats Ice Cream Shoppe in Manning. Price was very reasonable, scoops were HUGE, lots of flavors to choose from. I ended up going with the homemade ice cream sandwich. I gave it 5 stars. Lily loved the homemade snickers ice cream. Kris the owner was super friendly and gave me tips on the ice cream business. The next time you are in Manning stop over for ice cream!!!

Absolutely everything you want in a small town ice cream shop. They make unique flavors by hand, they are so friendly and welcoming and the ice cream is delicious. We regularly drive 45 minutes JUST to visit Sweet Treats in Manning. Highly recommended.

This place is a gem.Anyone can put out tasty exotic varieties… but the true test of any legit ice cream shoppe is their vanilla ice cream.It’s home made.It’s not titanium dioxide white.It’s creamy- very creamy.It’s not too sweet.It’s got depth of flavor.Best vanilla ice cream I’ve had in years.I tried a scoop of raspberry chip too- and dad tried butter brittle. Everything was outstanding.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER! Holy cow if I could give this place zero stars I would. As soon as we walked in we tried to make small talk about their products and the lady working the counter came back with one word responses. My 3 year old niece and my 7 year old daughter were looking at the TV with their menu items and my niece placed her hand on the remote and a second lady snapped at her. Then they have maps with pins on the wall and there is one that at the time of our visit had a random pin so my son thought it was one that could be placed at our own place of origin, we also got yelled at for that. To top it all off the ice cream was not even good to make up for their horrible customer service. I literally took one lick of it and almost threw up!! Worst waste of money ever! Avoid this place like the plague if you can!
Very rude people. I was on the phone with my daughter who was crying for me while her aunt was taking her for ice cream and clearly heard the lady working said “oh my gosh” multiple times like my daughters crying was annoying her. My five year old came home in tears because the lady was “not nice”. She said the lady rather than helping her choose ice cream said “look at the board”. When a five year old can hardly read, that’s very hard to do. My five year old had gone behind the counter twice: one to look at the ice cream like all big ice cream shops have and I heard her clearly scold her for being behind there. That’s fine she was in the wrong but a nicer manner would have sufficed. The second time she had gone behind the counter, my five year old said she was going to give her a hug and then got scolded again. All clearly while I was on FaceTime so of course I received the whole story when she got home…again in tears.

My wife and kids went in to get ice cream a few days ago. The two women working behind the counter were very rude to my wife and daughter. As well as my wife's niece and nephew. It started with the attitude toward my family and then escalated to one lady scolding my 3 year old daughter for simply putting her hand on a remote. If they didn't want channels changed on the tv they should've put the remote up. I understand it's their property but it's to be expected that a child will get into things. It's your responsibility as an adult, especially one managing an ice cream shop, to conduct yourself properly. My wife couldnt help but notice the white customers in the store received significantly better service than her and our kids did. We will not be coming back and will make sure to inform people of the atrocious service my family received.

Extra large serving sizes, friendly owners! Custom Ice cream cakes, cookies, etc. Short drive from anywhere.
