May be short on help but long on hospitality from our waitress and server Olivia. Engaging and accommodating. We ordered beef enchiladas and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. Kudos to the chef, plated to perfection.
So many tables Olivia singlely waited on herself yet, handled the rush with ease and grace. Certainly give Olivia a huge raise while customers generously leave huge tips.
Definitely will be revisiting soon!

Best Ribeye in eastern Iowa...
Very good food. I’ve eaten here a few times when I’m in town for work and have had a great experience each time. The wings and deep fried mushrooms are really good.

Obie's Bar & Restaurant offers a variety of choices including sandwiches, burgers, and Mexican food. The burrito and French fries were excellent, with the burrito being as big as the plate. The steak taco was juicy and flavorful, making it a great lunch option. The mushroom and Swiss burger is crispy and juicy, served with hot and crispy fries. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. While service can sometimes experience delays, recent visitors enjoyed the food, especially the steak wrap and chicken wrap with home-cut fries. Some customers were disappointed to find that the taco shells have changed from homemade to a pita-like shell. Despite occasional service delays, the combination of good food and friendly staff makes Obie's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. With live music on weekends, darts during the week, and a large bar area for seating, Obie's is a true Maquoketa gem that offers a charming experience.
