The owner provided some of the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. My group had moved two tables together in the middle of Trading Grounds' large room. The owner entered and, started snapping at us, calling us inconsiderate and berating us. This reaction was a shock, especially because when we asked the front staff for permission to use the room, they didn’t mention that we couldn't move the tables or inform us about any rental fees. There was a sign somewhere, but we completely missed it.
We understand that this is a reasonable rule and would have been happy to comply if we had known. After about five minutes of being talked down to, I finally told him that this was not an appropriate way to handle customer service. He claimed that although I was speaking calmly, he felt threatened. We even offered to pay $25 to rent the room, but he refused to accept our money. What's crazy is the owner had their kid with him the entire time.
His rudeness felt unnecessary, and ultimately, we decided to leave. We moved the tables back of course. All he had to say was, "Could you please move the tables back?" We would have apologized, moved them back, and continued our meeting. I genuinely don’t understand why this had to escalate into a dramatic situation, but here we are.

Tonight a small group of us (we were expecting 5-6 people) came to Trading Grounds for a meeting. Soon after we started, someone (we presume a manager/owner) came in and started loudly berating us for not following "the rules" about moving tables, even though those rules were never explained to us. We then started moving the tables back to fix the situation but he continued to loudly, sternly chastise us. We attempted to fix the situation by renting the room, which he refused, which showed that he didn't care about his customers or about fixing things, he just wanted to bully us. We left, and we will never return.
Nice big new place, we came on a Saturday afternoon, it was quiet and relaxing. Love that they are open later hours unlike most coffee places.

The Trading Grounds Coffee Shop had a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The staff was friendly and patient when I was deciding on an order.
I found the Caramel Apple Cider to be pretty good. Sweet but not overly so. And it was prepared in a decent amount of time.
I’m not sure what their coffee specials are like but I plan to visit again to find out.
Parking: The parking lot is somewhat small but there’s enough space for a decent number of people if they park well.
Kid-friendliness: There is a notice on the front door saying anyone under the age of 12 has to be accompanied by an adult.

Atmosphere is my favorite part. There’s a lot of space but it feels sectioned off so there’s also privacy which can help with noise if it’s crowded. Drinks are great and prices are great. Love seeing the owner on site, he’s friendly and always remembers my son’s drink order.

Was looking for a place to sit and get some planning done while in town… this place was perfect! Great coffee and atmosphere. Would definitely go back when I’m in the area again.

First time going this morning. Staff is really up beat. I got an iced white mocha so delicious. I found my new favorite coffee shop in am excited to try their whole menu.
The coffee, the atmosphere, the customer service. Highly recommend!!
Great coffee. Friendly people. We routinely stop in to buy a couple bags of coffee. The folks here grind it for us on the spot, so we can enjoy it at home. We love the quality and taste of the beans.
The premises are always very clean.

My default order at any coffee shop, chain or local, is a chai tea latte because even if it's meh it's hard to be disappointed by a chai tea latte.
This was not a meh chai tea latte. I have traveled far and wide and this is the best chai tea latte I've had in my life. I don't know what they put in their chai tea lattes, but ask for their spiced chai tea latte and experience every subsequent chai tea latte from shops elsewhere straddle the border of disappointment because they're not this one.
