Showed up with a full bus of hungry wrestlers and they cranked out the food at a ridiculous pace, and all of it was top notch. 10/10 will be back again.

I ate a really solid al pastor burrito here. Super quick and kind service with an authentic mexican feel. They served my food within 6 minutes of ordering too. Would recommend!!

Business trip in Marshalltown? La Carreta is the place to be! The service, drinks, food and atmosphere are exceptional! Loved the 3 lbs. burrito that I never needed a “to go” box for! Next time in town, this is my first step!

Stopped in for lunch and got the lunch burrito. The food was good, service was good and the speed at which we got our food was amazing and perfect for a quick lunch. Definitely coming back and interested in the Godzilla burrito that I seen on the online menu.

What can I say that hasn’t been said. This place is a gem. I’m deeply grateful this restaurant is in our town. An example of fantastic customer service and being consistent. I love the food. The servers are all amazing. They will go out of their way to fix an issue if you let them know what is wrong. Alfonso keeps innovating and trying new things. When some things don’t work he is not afraid to pivot. And the restaurant just doesn’t miss a beat. They had live music for their 25th anniversary. My wife, son and I cherished the experience. Here is to another 25. Felicidades amigos de La Carreta.

My partner and I are both vegan, and this is some of the best vegan food I have had. I was extremely impressed to see quite a number of vegan options on the menu. Usually I only see 2 options, if any, when going to a Mexican restaurant. Then we learned the owner was vegan, so that was pretty neat! My partner had the vegan street tacos with vegan steak and I had the vegan quesadilla with vegan steak. They have vegan meats available (like vegan steak, vegan chicken, etc) and they even have vegan cheeses including vegan cream cheese! If we are ever in the area, we will definitely be stopping here again. So yummy!! Just FYI, the majority of food items on the menu are not vegan but the high number of vegan dishes they DO have is great. Service was great, and atmosphere was great!

Me and my brother went there for lunch/supper. We got the 2 pound burrito each with mixed meat (chicken and steak). We talked to the owner of the restaurant the 1st time my brother took me there. Very polite guy, he told us how he came up with the 2 pound burrito and told us about 2 other burritos he has there as a challenge to get them for free or for purchase. The staff there is very polite as well. I saw other people's orders and they looked delicious as well. You get your money worth that's for sure.
